alternator bolt

Tightening the adjuster bolt tightens the belt. So turning the bolt CCW will loosen it.
Make sure you've got both the pivot bolt loose, and you might need to give the alternator a gently whack so that it pivots freely. Usually it's a very tight fit at the pivot.

Sorry, I am trying to remove the pulley from the alternator so I can put my underdrive one in it for the air pump elimination. So you mean losing the pulley bolt is CCW?

It's just like any other bolt, CCW. You'll have a MUCH easier time using an impact to take it off.

You can also take the alternator to most parts stores and have them swap it out. They usually have an electric impact behind the counter for just that purpose.
Impact gun makes it a 2 second job.
