im curious as to another way to hook up the miata thermoswitch. as far as i know the threads on the stocker and the miata thermoswitch are the same. could i just then use a male and female spade connector to link the stock wire to the miata thermoswitch. any help is greatly appreciated as i need to replace it ASAP

yes you can use a spade connector and insulate it with plastic tubing or black tape
