ALMS final Mazda 2d in LMP2

This from the ALM website

"In LMP2, the No. 37 Telesis Intersport Racing Lola of Clint Field and Jon Field posted a six-lap victory over the No. 8 Mazda-powered B-K Motorsports Courage, making its race debut."

Not too shabby for a debut.....

was an awesome race - im so dissapointed that panoz ended up beating porsche in the last 2 minutes it was a great battle.

What kind of motor was in the Mazda? A renesis?

I watched most of the race and they only mentioned the Mazda a few times and I don't think I saw it on the track at all. They showed the freaking Porsche vs. Panoz for the last half of the race. I loved when one of the commentators was freaking out when the driver of the C6R started flashing his headlights. The dude was like, "what's this he trying to tell us something, it's a signal." Or some **** like that. Yeah it's a signal from outer space!
The thunder of the Penske/Porsche deal overshadowed the return and debut of the (supposedly) Renesis based 3 rotor.

3 rotor periph port, not a renesis...it has one tension bolt from a renesis motor so they are calling it a renesis based 3 rotor

that battle between the porsche and the panoz was great, i was rooting for the panoz the whole time. They never win, so it was good to see them come through on top. I was hoping to see the sportsbook car, but i only got a few glimces of it when the cameras were shooting other cars. CBS sucks at comentary, if you listen to the ALMS radio it's much better.

I was rooting against the panoz the whole time. I hate panoz. The car looks too much like a complete rip of the RX-7. I don't see how they get away with it. Older models looked more like it. Now they are trying to change it up a bit. Even the rear inbetween the brake lights looked like the back of a new miata. Lame.

What I did like was that the coverage was actually pretty good. Yeah they didn't mention the Mazda but they covered the four classes very well. Normally when you watch a race they only cover the Prototypes and the cars in first and 2nd place. You hardly get to see any other classes. I would say on most races the prototypes get 70% of the coverage. Sure they are cool, but I'd rather see production cars out there. So I thought they did a good job mixing up the coverage to go to each individual class.

I couldnt agree with you more. I didnt see the Mazda car at all and all they really showed were the Audi's in P1 and the Porsches in GT2. They did comment on the return of the Mazda about half way through the telecast by saying "its the loudest car here and probably the best looking".
