air conditioning?
My airconditioning fuild R134 drained last week. I had a leak from one of the high pressure pipes.
I managed to get a welder to weld a aluminiun bead over the small hole. My question is:
Can I drive with no R134 in the system. I will not turn on my A/C.
I heard mositure can get into the system and ruin my A/C?
Any recomendations?

Yes you could drive without charge in you A/C, beside even if you turn on your A/C the compressor will not turn on due to low pressure. Moisture could ruin your a/c, vacuum your system before putting freon.

Evacuating the system to 26inHG will cause the water to boil off. You'll be fine unless you drive around with water inside the stuff for a while and the metal lines rust out.

R134a was added to rx7's in 94' only 93's had r-12. You'll be fine without having any refrigerant in your system as long as you had them pull it into a vacuum. If not the air and moisture in the system will ruin your reciever drier because it is a dessicant bag and will absorb all the moisture and it will bloat.
