Not trying to switch the topic or anything, but how the do you afford so much **** on your FD when you are 19? I'm the same age and heading for broke just keeping the car in good shape. Good luck heading for 10s. I hope to be there someday, probably not anytime soon lol.

Stretching this off topic a bit more but why are you continuing in owning the car if you're going broke? I dont see whats so special about having a nice car but having no money? You're still young and you have time, if you're really down of money, sell the car and wait for higher income. By that time, you can get a modified FD for a fraction of what you sold your fd for now.

I really hate seeing all these young kids spending all their money on a car.

Im not against mashin around. I mess around in my car all the time. You just have to do it in a safe way, and stay in control. Other people on the street didnt sign up for the ride in the life flight. Just save the real speed for the track.

I'm actually just trying to fix it and sell it now. It was OK last year when I was a senior, but I can't do it anymore in college. It's just overwhelming at times.

well as for me having done all this to my car.. i work alot!!! im a full time student and i paint cars..as a little part time gig.. **** each car i paint is at least 1k in my pocket......so thats were most of my money comes from... my payment on the car is like 300$ so its not too bad.... i sacrifice too much for that car... blood sweat tears and a few girlfriends.... good thing is that i love that car waaaayyy too much.... i think its worth it and i probably wont stop.. it is overwhelming just this last summer i spent nearly 10k on the rebuild and fuel and ecu upgrades .... i worked in a huge warehouse making like 15$ and hour and i would work like 12+ hours a day.... i hated it but it was always worth it ... oh im planing on 10s i figure all i need now is a good set of slicks better suspension and a good lsd and thats the 10s right ther..... as for the turbo .. another 2 k and i have enough for it plus i do allmost all instalation work myself... save lots of money..... ill post pics of all my work when i get the car done......

o yeah .. i prefer track racing but theres no comparison in adrenaline u get while street racing compared to track .. its not safe but i guess i rather crash into a cornfield than into a cement barrier at a 120....but i love the track non the less..........no cops to worry about...

yeah i knew thats what was going to be the huge downside to owning this car, but with the help of my step dad, you guys, and other local MD rotorheads, i think ill do alright. the car is 100% stock now and i plan to keep it that way, and my town is probably less than 2-3 square miles, so shes not going very far from home. that doesnt protect me, but should help out a litle with keeping her happy.

im pretty sure the only problem with the car right now is the clutch, and some people on here have hinted that it could be the throwout berring. ive only had the car for like 2 weeks now and after thats fixed, everything should be good.

i saw the thread about Trevor in the CYM... definately a wake up call, especially because i only have about 1.5 years of driving under my belt, and this IS a powerful and dangerous car.
