Not at all, the bling factor far out weighs and performance factor. the amount of material removed is very minuet. Plus this is the cold side of the turbo system. Once the car is under load and in motion there is no intake temperature difference at all. Our FD intake temp is measured at the point (under the UIM)and there have been many discussion on how having a none shielded area around the LIM close to the hot side of the turbos is a greater contributing factor to actual intake temp when measured and before it actually enters the rotor housings.

I agree with the cost effectiveness of cerma-C parts. Another member here in San Diego had several parts sent out and i have to agree, it's not bad at all. I just happened to have a lot of time on hand and sand paper and time is available in abundant amount here at the office.
thanks guys for the kind comments.

I bet it helps with proper flow
I'm doing the same thing with the Y-pipe in my GTR, to prevent reverse flow from happening and make the merge much nicer.
it's apparently worth 30HP on the skyline, not sure what it's worth on an RX-7 but the Y-pipes are similar so who knows.
