97% injector duty

I was thinking that the stock fuel system was good for a little bit more HP, but while out tuning tonight i hit about 13psi-14psi (creeping from 12) with the AFR's at about 11.2-11.1:1. this was done open-midpipe (catback disconnected).

after seeing it hit almost 14psi, we turned it down to 10psi and it will creep to about 12psi, still in the low 90's IDC. the intake air temps also got up to about 58*C, which is about 138*F -pretty hot.

my mods are:
apexi intakes
downpipe
midpipe
nonsequential

there are two morals of this story:
1. dont run with open exhaust or your wastegate will creep.
2. stock intercooler sucks, and it hates life above 10psi.

Had my car dynoed at 360whp at 16 psi.
High flow cat
Front mount IC
Pettit ECU
Nippon Denso fuel pump
stock twins running sequential
stock ports
Inj duty cyc never even hit 90

You may want to look at your car again.

That's way to freakin high, either something is not functioning properly, or you are standing on the ragged edge of a rebuild.

Check it out, might be time to upgrade your fuel system or there may be another problem. I wouldn't ever want to see anything in the 90%+ range

sorry i should have clarified, that was the max reading on the powerFC. i think it only hit 97% when i shifted and came back into boost.

i believe the IDC is in the mid 70's at the power peak

air temp in 50s isnt that bad. Stock IC iwas seing 90+ degree air temp while getting tuned!!!!!! 12psi

After i got a PFS SMIC i was seing high 40's on the dyno tunning 13psi. I think 40 degree air temp is Good. 50 acceptable and past 60 i wouldnt WOT too much. Thats how i see it.

ALSO- U should really invest in restricor plates. Much cheaper alternative to porting wastegates. Even with a catback ur gonna creep and when it gets cold out u will creep high. Even in normal weather i wouldnt risk it. Sacrifice a few hp and get restrictor plates Jyro sells and ull be creep free. ACtually u could prob gain HP cus u could set boost to 12+ psi and hold it at 12 to redline without creeping over. Works for me

i agree with you on the air temps, but this was on a 70*F night cruising on the interstate. on the dyno i was getting right to about 60*C

also, maybe you missed the part about me just having my stock catback disconnected i definitely wont have to worry about boost creep when i reinstall that this weekend.

btw the second sesh of tuning for at 13 psi and walbro, i was hitting 100% IDC. running veryy rich.

I installed 1300cc injectors and it went to 78% and after a retune again...it was 72%

I was in the same shoes as u as far as retuning and high cycles. I was confused on wat to do. Trust me get a FP and some used cleaned 1300cc injectors. I So good when i got it right and retuned safley.
