'94 Glass Sunroof Question

I have a Black '93 RX7 with a damaged metal Sunroof that I am replacing with a '94 Glass Sunroof....

I have recieved the Glass Roof, Right and Left Cover Panels from Mazda. (I did not order the Sun Shade, because they wanted $500 for it and I'll never use it).

My question is, is there an interior cover panel that covers over the outer metal underside of the Sunroof that I am missing? It just doesn't look right to me....

Does anyone have a photo taken from "inside" the car of a Glass Sunroof that I can look at to see if I am missing anything?

Any help would be greatly appreciated....

I'm not sure I understand the question. The sunroof is glass, there is no "outer metal underside". I got a sunshade for $65 used on the forum. I think Ray at Malloy wanted $165 or so.

I think I understand what you are saying. You are talking about the outter rim, where the 4 bolts are that hold the sunroof on etc.? If that is the case, yes, there is plastic trim that goes on it.

OK, let me try this approach....

Starting from the outside in....First you have the glass
panel....then you have a metal "frame" that holds the glass (with the weatherstripping). This all comes pre-assembled from Mazda.

Next, you have to attach this "pre-assembly" to the "runners/glides" with 4 screws. You then "pop" the left and right plastic covers on over them to "hide" the runners.

Is that it? .....OR is there an additional plastic or cloth covered "frame" missing, that is supposed to cover over the metal frame of the "pre-assembly" BEFORE the left and right plastic covers are "popped" on?

The unit looks "odd" with just the painted black metal of the "pre-assembly" exposed from underneath...the left and right covers only cover the runners/glides. What covers the metal on the underside of the pre-assembly?....nothing?

Guess you are going to need to take pictures, because I don't understand.

When mine is open, the metal rails inside are exposed from above (i.e. looking down through the sunroof). Is that what you're asking? Tell me what angle you want a pic from.
