94 Driver window switch in 93 FD?

My drivers side window switch is going out on me, has anybody installed the 94 window switch on their 93 FD? I know the 94 switches have the one touch feature. Im wondering if its a straight install, and if the one touch feature will work properly, thanks

The 1994 one touch switch will work in the 1993 models, direct replacement. The switch is expensive. Call Ray ernesto.

bajaman, I put a WTB thread in the classifieds and Rotor3 offered to sell me a '94 switch for $150. Try PM'ing him and see if he still has it.

The 94 switches are pieces of **** just like the 93 switches. I have a friend who has owned his 94 since 1997, put about 90k on it since then, and has had three switches go out on him--that's the original and two brand new OEM replacements. Either the driver or the passenger button breaks. I would only buy them new. His car has 135k on it, that's about 40k per switch. There's no way in hell I would pay $150 for a used power window switch.

Crap, I just looked it up on Mazdatrix and they only charge about $165 for a new '94-95 switch, so I would buy a new one instead too. A '93 switch is about $192.00. I never bothered to look at the price there for a '94-95 switch before, just the '93.

i'd be interested in a group buy! need one kinda soon tho.

dont mean to thread jack, but does anyone know if a 94 window motor will work in a 93? if i used mazdatrix its way cheaper to buy just the 94 motor instead of the whole 93 assembly.

How much cheaper can a GB make things? I never noticed any super deals from any of them. My old switch had a broken tab (60k miles). I got another 93 switch for like $30. Just look for a used one. That money could be spend better on something else.

The 94-95 switches are cheaper than the 93s thru Ray. When I used to buy and sell a ton of fds back in the day I was always having to get them. They were around $120.00 new. I ordered one about 4 months back and I think they are up around $150.00 new now. Still cheaper than a 93 switch.
