93 rx7 greddy type rs BOV question
I installed the BOV, in place of the stock ABV<----closest to the airbox.
My question is:
We start the car, and let it warm up. Everything seems to be working correctly, and all the vacuum hoses are in correctly. <---I may be wrong. We rev the engine a couple times, and there is no sound of the air coming out of the BOV. I watched the BOV as we reved the engine and it doesnt even open. I loosened it all the way, and it opens just to let a little peep of air out. We then drove the car, but still nothing. From what Ive heard its supposed to be somewhat noticeable. We then put the stock BOV back on, and left it so it vents back into the air. Still Couldnt hear a damn thing.
Any suggestions? Ive tried tighting it, but still nothing. Could someone post some pictures or PM me a guide on how to do this. I have the flange so that it installs into the stock location piping. I would just like to double check that everything is in correctly. I have researched for pictures but, I dont seem to come up with anything specific.
All input is appreciated, Thanks guys

I connected the orange hose that is on the side/top of i think its the intake manifold to the BOV. And when you mean dump valve to do you mean CRV? Everything from the stock BOV (ABV) is hooked up to the greddy. I can get you a picture later, im at work right now.
If it was hooked up right would it be noticeably loud from the outside of the car?

the stock valve vented to the atmosphere shoud be loud. yes it is the one closest to the airbox. where is the vacuum line coming from that you hooked it up to? i could also be that you just arent making any boost. do you have a boost gauge to show that you in fact are making 10 psi?

I dont have a boost gauge, but i can DEFINETlY TELL that it does get boost. As in all rx-7's you can for sure tell when boost kicks in. Sounds like a stupid question but, could i test it with a bicycle pump or something? Or a tire gauge?
as for the vacuum lines I used this diagram here.

Where it says boost gauge, is where the vacuum hose from the BOV goes into. There are two nipples on that manifold and one is blocked. The stock BOV was connected to it.

ok then everything sounds like it should be working. when i fisrt got my car, i simply used a Craftsman pressure gauge that was no more than 20 bucks at sears. hook it up to the blocked nipple and run the hose through the window. very temporary but works fine for the time being. did you by chance et the BOV off of ebay or is it a genuine greddy?
