NY 850cc flow test @3bar = 1040cc

i sent out my stock 850cc injectors out for cleaning and flow test...
i requested flow test @ 43.5psi / 3bar as my aeromotive FPR base pressure is 43.5 psi so i wanted to see the flow rate at exactly that pressure

@ that pressure injectors came back 1040cc

now in past i sent out couple of different sets of 850cc injectors out for cleaning and they use to come back as 850cc but i noticed they where tested under 3bar don’t recall exact number 2.?bar

my car always run rich at idle with 850cc don’t matter what i did...- just wondering if a set my base fuel pressure to high...should i tune new set as 1040cc @3bar

If the injectors were tested under 3 bars, which is what manufacturer recommended. Base fuel pressure should be 35-38 without vacuum which equates to 2.694 bars. 38psi/14.1.

So I believe you've had your base pressure set at 3bars (42.3psi) then you'll have a "rich" mixture because of the extra fuel being dumped into the engine.

This can expalin why my car runs rich to

before I had 850 primaries with the OEM fpr... but now I've put in a adjustable fpr, and a buddy of mine said put the base pressure to 3 bar... but still running the map from before... so turning down the base press to 2,7 (running car and the vaccum not hooked up to the fpr), i should have a better idle?

Correct, adjusted no more than 38psi without vacuum hooked up.

you want to adjust the pressure to 2.7 bar 38psi while car is running with vacuum hose off....after its set to that pressure...u need to connect that hose back up... do not drive with it off
frp 1:1 for every 1psi of boost your fuel pressure goes up by same amount to compensate

ok that explains it...i did not test stock fuel pressure...so i whet by 3bar as i read somewhere here on forum must have been for Bosch or some other top feed injector...as there flow rates are usually at 3 or 4bar...

so did any one tune this @3bar as 1040cc
