Hi guys, i just wanna mention the RX-7 is great!! I love all japanese sports cars. But I specially love the RX-7 and plan on buying on, but is the RX-7 (3rd Gen.) a 4 seater?? Or is it possible to make it a 4 seater?? Please this information will be usefull. Thnx a lot guys!!

 

It's a 2 seater. But you can do a 4 seater conversion.

 

the US version does not come with 4 seats, but you can buy the additional seats from japan, etc...

 

BUT.....




it is completely useless, you may be able to smuggle very VERY small children, uh, i mean child, across borders-if they sit sideways and fast for a month.

 

true , no point forget doing a 4 seat conversion, it will be more confortable to shove them in the trunk. ever take a look in the back of the fd?

well I use mine for laptop and sometime's I put my son when I want a family curise thank god my wife is only 4ft11" tall so my son {very skiny fit sort of comfortable} there. the biggest problem is the front seat at the back underneat there is no room for him to put his feet under the seat like normal car seat do.In my opinion it's give a little more room to put stuff there than on top of the bins which will slide around when u hit turns like crazy.

 

Great!! Where can i get the JDM back seats?? Also the RX-7 have more leg room in baq than the Supra?? Thnx Guys!! I wanna use the supra as a referance cuz ma friend got it.

what kind of parents will subject their baby kid to high G turn in a FD?

 

some japanese models came in 2+2... i have seen a white one in person here in the US by a guy who imported one. but i doubt he actually has anyone ride back there.

 

3 people can fit good if the passenger seat is pulled forward a little. 4 would be really hard unless the driver is short.

 

I was just asking as a curiosity. You know how they make them cool little baby seats that look like racing seats. I don't have any kids myself, and I don't think I would want my baby riding in the FD with me anyway.

 

if u want to get a rx7 4 seater get the rx8. Id hate to see 4 seats on a FD.

 

I have apparently aftermarket seats, tan leather if you buy a car with that color interior.

 

You hate those newer RX-7 in Japan?

 

I will guess that the RX-7 (fd at least) has MUCH LESS rear seat room than any SUPRA - The FC 2+2s have much more room than an FD - rember the FD is much SHORTER than an FC or SUPRA for that matter
If you MUST have a 2+2 RX-7 get a T-II and add the rear seats

 

I have an issue of a Japanese RX-7 mag where they converted an FD into a wagon. Pretty sick...

it doesnt really matter... its your choice. i think 4 seats look nice. it just depends on the person and what he needs.

well i seen the pictures of the 2 extra seats. It wont fit anyone. i have been in a 93+ supra (bigger car than the FD) and my friend who owns it is about 5feet 4. I cannot sit in back of him because there is no space left for the feet. i am the same size as him. to think about it the empty passenger side had no space for the feet either. And hearing about a FD 4 seater is just ridiculous. V8 conversions, 3 rotors, racing seats, roll bar/cages, audio system, stripped interior, v6 conversions, 1 seater, they're all ok NOT 4 seats. why would u want to put 2 extra seats on a fantastic sports car? WHY would Mazda have the RX8 be "4door/4passenger sports car"!!!(still mad about that one). It's like having say Carmen Electra as a girl and then asking her to grow 2 more butt cheeks.

 

the smallest rear seats i have ever been in ar my friends 95 240sx are they the same or even smaller?
