The only time "rotating inertia will counter any lateral forces" is if there is sufficient counter-weighting in the opposite direction of those forces, and even then the mainshaft will still undergo major torsional loads. I doubt that rpm is the real reason behind the flexing mainshafts of the 20Bs you refer to.

They do not use a dry sump setup. They use a custom oil pan. It does not have to be as low as stock to have a large capacity since the pan is longer.
The shifter stays in ALMOST the stock location. It does sit about 2-3 inches behind the original position. This is accomplished by moving the shifter housing forward along the transmission. To do this, the shifter housing is mounted by only its rear mounting location to the forward mounting location along the transmission housing. The two original forward mounting spots along the shifter housing are cut off.
That is their second version of the 23A. The first version had severe e-shaft flex so they redesigned the e-shaft. The car with the new e-shaft was at the last Sevenstock but was barely finished being put together.
One of the advantages of their 12A based 4-rotor is that it is only slightly longer than a standard 20b 3-rotor since the housings are narrower.

Isn't the 4 rotar scoot FD in japan made form 2 12As? But they said it wasa 3.0L engine...how do you displace a rotary exactly, do you carve larger pits in the rotar itself? Becasue I know the 13b gain another 100cc by widenning the entire block.

any one know the time on that 4 rotor NZ FD? that car is simply amzing, and since he never sat there and burned out just got up and wnet he probly got some sweet times. man i'de love to have one of those 26b's even a 20B proplery done up, no Turbo jsut pure power, would be amaing like GtoRx7 20B NA i would serisouly consider making a similar rip off project once i get to know Rotaries more and have over $10k lying around to play with. but thats all hopes and Dreams/ Goals for right now, can't wait till money starts flowing into my possesion.

I emailed them a few days ago without response. So does anyone have an idea on the cost of the shafts? Also what other specialty parts are needed to build with one of these shafts, IE housing mods, center bearings, etc?

whats the most amount of rotors someones done, or actualy CAN be done assuming you have unlimited funds? anymore than 4? not nescessarily in a car, but in general. would be interesting to see something like a 12 rotor!

this car seems exciting in pictures and writing, but anyone who has seen it will agree with me that it is some of the sloppiest fabrication ever. I shuddered when I saw the intake manifold, and pretty much everything else. I understand that when they first ran it, they found the oil pan full of metal shavings! I also don't think that it even runs anymore... they wouldn't start it up at sevenstock.
I hate to talk ****, but sorry guys this is not your holy grail. I wish it was; I'd love to see someone come out with a real 12A based 4-rotor setup for sale that wasn't complete ****.

I have a few issues of RX-7 Magazine from over in Japan that have a 12 page spread on the 12A based 4 rotor from Scoot. If yall really want it, I can take scans and post em up. It's all in Japanese though. It litterally goes into complete detail though, breakdown of the rotor housing, multi-piece e-shaft, porting, etc.
