First--Why did he pic the years 93-97? Hoods will fit from 93-02
Second----He said turbo style. WHAT is that apposed to the NON-TURBO stlye?

the non-turbo style hood looks the same but is mounted upside down for a ram-air effect....
and you know damn well we haven't seen a new rx-7 in the last few years...

You definitely get what you pay for. With the points that Spiritr and others made, this sounds a little fishy.
If you're going to spend money on a hood, it will probably pay to take a long look around the market. I'm totally curious about how aftermarket hoods are designed, and how diffirent vent patterns effect the cooling qualities of them. I've seen hoods with more vents on them. I don't know if it that truly matters though.

Thanks Jason! let us know what you find out. I would try it but I think that might irritate my wife considering I lost $$ on my last hood purchase since it was packed miserably and I lost my *** on it.

I don't know about paying for what you get man. My friend recently got a VIS hood for pretty damn cheap, about 400 bucks and its fit was really great, looked like the darn stock hood!!! It looks really great with no scratchs, chips, dents, warps, ect. On the other hand, I have seen other hoods which cost a lot more (about 2-4X that amount), and has major fitment issues, came with cracks in the finish, scratchs, chips, dents, warps, and just plain looks like ***!
I think it really depends on the maker. You never know what your gonna get and how its gonna fit untill you actually have it on your car.

Here's something to think about. I emailed the seller to see if I could pick up the hood. Here is his response
"sorry. no pick up."
All I have to say is "caveat emptor"

probably no pickup since he's charging $140 for shipping, more money in his pocket! Gotta love those ebay sellers who make more profit on their shipping than from the actual sale of the item itself.

I emailed the buyer to see what he thought.
there was a group buy on mazdaspeed repros a while back...I think they were made by the same company that makes saleen parts. the thread had a lot of info on fit, finish, support, everything you want to know about after market hoods.
I have heard that carbon fiber will blacken/warp under heat and sun. can anyone confirm or deny this?
