Can you cast any light on why that is? or this just a clash of egos?

In your defence you have a great looking FD with some serious potential and to your credit you sound like you dont give a f**k what these people think of you so big ups for that.

If you ever manage to get a 10sec ET or better just make sure you come back and rub it in!
Why aren't I making good power? Good question but I'm leaning towards my conservative tune. AFR's are in the mid 10's so we've still got some serious fuel to pull out. The chassis and suspension are in good shape ( 4 link might need a little tweaking ).

Lupe is taking some serious heat around here. Well Lupe you keep on with what you are doing. I know as much as anyone how long it takes to get my car with ems and a custom turbo setup to run no less run right. Just looking at his setup I can tell that its going to be a fast car. And I would bet its already faster now than most the haters on this forum cars so keep us posted of the progress.

Maybe I should contract you to drive. The car would atleast shed 150lbs with you driving

LUPE,

Sorry to disrespect you with my comments about "secrecy". I'm sure you have your reasons to hold your cards close to your chest. I remember first laying eyes on your car and it appear by sight and sound to be quite a beast. Sorry, too, that I was wrong about the octane level you were running. I've got a 500 hp FD, so I tend to think I know one when I see/hear one.

Have you reached any conclusions about the either the integrity of the coupler or possible installation error? On April 23, down in Indy, I decided to test my high boost setting, and the elbow between the compressor and the intercooler popped off, putting a nice little ding in the hood above it. The day before, I had removed that elbow, and I guess that my filthy fingers contaminated the elbow and that allowed it to slip free from the band clamp.

"Lupe" or "Gargamel" or "Eric CHEATthem" ripped off some forum members years ago and has been banned numerous times throughout the years. Some people still have hard feelings since a few of them never saw the money back in their hands yet he has spent $1000's upon $1000's modding his car with some of their money. How would you feel?

I've had this problem with my Supra's I build. I haven't run that much PSI through an RX7 yet. I've had a problem with the Greddy couplers on the compressor housing because it's closest to a heat source. I've found that when the Greddy's get hot, they are a lot softer, and over time they weaken a little, then all it takes is one time with a Hot coupler and a ton of boost to blow a hole in it. Since I've come across this problem, I've been using HKS or like couplers, a lot botter quality, and haven't had one fail on me yet.

Like I said before, my turbo sucked in my manual boost controller on my first pull so no power achieved.

Best et on 17 inch wheels last summer was 11.50@124/ horrible 1.78 short time. This was done with a cooler of beer in the trunk

I should be sixty footing sub 1.5XX or high 1.4XX now. Like always, should woulda coulda.....

You have nothing to apologize for. Lots of people expect it to be alot faster than it is by looking at it. I still don't know where my problem occured. I've done a few launches on the street with my new coupler and everything seems to be holding.

I'll be back with more problems, I'm sure. Something would be seriously wrong if I made a clean pass.

with all due respect, 11.50 is not a bad time at all with 17 inch wheels.

well he aint ripped me off, and if others were dumb enough to trust him AFTER he had already ripped people off then they're f**ken more stupid than him! after all, there is an archive of threads to check up on people when purchasing gear through this forum.

The one thing I hear most when some questions are asked on this forum is "do a search!"
so with that in mind, if yer gonna purchase something from someone on this forum " DO A SEARCH!"

From what I remember, most of the threads relating to this subject were deleted in an arrangement w/BiState-DaVinci.....
Also from what I understood, there was a lawsuit/charges against Eric from his time @ BiState for theft.

If I'm wrong I apologize.

well if youre not wrong then it sounds like the correct channels are dealing with it, so everyone should get over it and just contribute to the subject of the thread.

You hear that guys? Get over it. Who cares he took your money in the past and ripped people off from the rotary community. You can't change the past.

Get a clue buddy.

That's super nice of you to say. Anyway, police went after one of his aquaintenances and now my insurance company is too. So, I doubt he'll be coming back over.

3 years ago, I totalled my RX7. Decided to part out my car, got overwhelmed with how many parts needed to go out, lost all of the transaction in my work email after I got laid off from WorldCom. You can search and see that I made numerous posts and threads asking for peoples info again, that worked for some but a few it didn't. I screwed up and have admitted it but some people never let it go. To say that I took 1,000's from members to fund my car is an outright lie. All of the money spent on my car was done before I even wrecked my car.

Nobody is hearing that, though.
