if a 3rotor cost about 40k, guess how much a 4rotor would cost you... also, nobody makes 4rotors for retail sale. remember a 3 rotor engien can be had for 2-4k alone...
i actually know someone which could actually make a 26b fit in a fd but i doubt he would ever go thru all the trouble and money as a V8 can easily fit inside and put out even more hp.

the motec system required to run a 26B is easily $8,000 for the setup....and it is not a plug and play wiring harness, and it comes untuned....oh, and you can't simply by the manifolds for a 26B...
$1k every month will support a 2rotor FD just comfortably
$2k every month you could build a 3 rotor, but not until you've exhausted a 2rotor, IMO

Just add a T88 to that 4 rotor motor. We're talkin' about full boost at 3K and 1000 hp. Anways, a motor costing more than 10K is ridiculus. B/c a 13b cost about 3k if u buy all the parts and build it. So, a 20B cost around 5k to get all the parts and build it. Therefore, a 26B should be around 7K just for the motor itself. Besides, u can get a used cosmo motor, the one with the 20B, for like 3k.

The 26B was not a production motor. They're not just laying around in used condition waiting for people to pick them out of junk yards. You'd have to steal a 767B to get the 26B engine, or go directly to Mazda.
Short of that, you can piece together a 4-rotor from 12A or 13B housings and have a custom eccentric shaft made, but even then you're talking about more than $7,000 just to put the engine together. Then you have to figure out how to mount it in the car (custom cradle), fabricate the turbo manifold and exhaust, mount an intercooler and fabricate the intake piping, hook up the radiator and oil coolers, wire it, and tune it.
How are you going to control an engine that was never a production engine? Expensive aftermarket engine management and a custom harness. A motec engine management system alone would set you back $4,500 or more, and then you have to come up with a harness. How about injectors? A minimum of eight injectors will be required, and they're not cheap either. What are you going to do for an ignition system?
Are you starting to understand why a 20B swap is so expensive even when people can do their own labor and why when people start talking about a "26B swap" most people with any experience just roll their eyes?

It's not like it can be done by putting on a big turbo and cranking up the boost, but it can and HAS been done repeatedly. There are some videos floating around this forum of FD's with over 1000hp. They are dyno videos that show the sheet after the run was completed. All of the 13B's that I have seen at or over 1000hp were in Japan though. I haven't seen any back in the States. But before you go criticizing anyone, you might want to have an idea of what you are talking about.

a 1000hp 13b`s life is just as short as a butterfly ,it wont last ,is ridiculously difficult to tune ,and is in no way streetable ,and trust me it requires a lot more than simple "tweaking",besides how much did abel ibarra make with his two rotor ??
do you have any idea how hard it is to make 600hp out of a 2 rotor ,even that is difficult ,1000 hp on a 3rotor even that requires a lot of work ,and all that for some kid to say that all you need to do to the 13b is some "tweaking "
look i love the rotary too, i will defend it to death ,but lets just not make it something its not

Well i dont know if i can help but i can get to you as much info as need be from the [FOURRE] people as i can... Althought it is an NA car but hey is all good. Athough i would SERIOUSLY advise you to have a budget or arond 50 grand ATLEAST.. As you are not going to be doing any of the fabricating yourself...
