I don't know a ton about porting, but shouldn't there be a beveled edge all the way around the port edge to reduce chatter as the seal moves across it? If you look at the OEM ports, you see that they have a beveled edge around 100% of the port rather than just the top.

Otherwise, car looks great, can't wait to see what you do this season! I'm jealous of anyone who gets to track their car regularly!

looking good! You finalize your schedule yet? Coming to Mid-Ohio at all this year for any regionals? If so I'll try to make it up to watch.

I do not have all my race dates nailed down yet, but I would really live to hit MID-O again, I have only been there twice, both times for nasa nationals.

I do not think nasa has a crossover event to MId-O this year :-(

hehe, do a search on the forum for me or my car, there is like 80 cobillion pics on the forum of my car in some form or anther lol

I am limited by race class spec (nasa ST1 class), power to weight with modifiers, basically my car is just shy of 400 rwhp at around 2750 weight, if I use full race slicks... DOT tires would put me closer to 450 rwhp at the same weight.

Not sure what changes this year, so those are from last years rules.

Here is a link to a folder list that has a bunch of image galleries and random pics from over the years.

Damian, you look so smooth out there.

And your film is so first class!... dancing at 1.5 Gs through the corners and showing speed and location on the course. Bravo!

Sounds like the lower HP will save the engine. How much faster are slicks? You seem the get the compitition on breaking after the long straight.

Thanks for sharing,

I've always been admiring that car since I saw it on the forum. I hope to make it to MAM track days some time for the in class and open track (Never road raced yet, but building my 7 for dual purpose street and track days). My friend Tim in an EVO VIII MR and kept mentioning about you holding these events. Can you give me the list of events you will be holding this year? Great car vid btw.

Nice, I've been waiting for some more vids from Damian...although I'm still partial to the lightsabre stuff at weddings. Maybe through one on the roof of the car as you slice your way through the competition.

>>Damian, you look so smooth out there.

Thanks Barry!! Not to shabby for only being my second event on the track. The only other time I ran mid-O was the previous nationals :-)

>>And your film is so first class!... dancing at 1.5 Gs through the corners and showing speed and location on the course. Bravo!

Thanks again :-)

>>Sounds like the lower HP will save the engine. How much faster are slicks? You seem the get the compitition on breaking after the long straight.

Yeah, that is why I run the slicks, I can run lower HP, I do not like running a 2 rotor in road racing above 400ish HP (with my level of resources). Also, the car is really what is out braking them, not the slicks, I would be I do not gain much with the slicks vs a hoosier dot race tire.... I cant afford new slicks, they are used, so not the best to race with, but what I can afford :-)

What I would like to do, is run the dots, like hoosiers, but instead of more HP, take more weight out of the car (if possible).

I need to get back to mid-O, I know I can drop a lot of time with more practice on the track...and mid-O is fun as hell!!! lol
