20 in. Hg of vaccum at 900-950 rpm on VDO gauge - what's yours?
first 300 miles on Malloy reman showed 16-17 in. Hg;
after 300 miles, showing 18-19 when cold and solid 20 in.Hg at 900-950 rpm on VDO 2 -1/16 gauge.
My original engine never showed more than 18 when I bought it at 30K miles, and my 1st reman (which had housings used in a prior reman) never showed more than 17 in. Hg.
I changed oil at 300 miles and boosting briefly to 10 psi at about 4K rpm.
Curious as to what others got with their reman?

I only pull like 14-16hg with my reman engine.
It's 7k miles old and has 115 psi compression across all front rotor faces and 115 115 110 across rear.
Vacuum doesn't always mean much :P
Granted, I have a crappy autometer boost guage, maybe it doesn't measure right

Mine is almost identical. Just about 20 in Hg. at a steady 950 rpm idle. Sounds like you got a good engine based on what mine put down on the dyno in near stock form.
My old engine was showing ~16 in Hg at about the same idle, just for reference.

for another reference, I am 16-17 around 850 RPM (original motor at 59K though not a reman)

Vacuum is just a quick indicator of health like taking your blood pressure. 11 to 20 your still kicking but anything below you may have one of your rotors on the fabled bananna peel.
Anyway if you have a good idle and the car pulls strong you can stop worrying and just drive it. However be sure to: run the proper boost, keep the tank full, add some 2 stroke oil, change the oil each time you change you underwear, oh **** don't forget the fuel filter, never use low octane, etc...just one slip and your vacuum will surely be doomed

Less than 10k miles on the motor with a "large streetport," I pull around 12 in on the Autometer at ~1,000 RPMs, but the Autometer reads slightly higher than 0 when the car is off, so it's probably closer to 13 in. Previous owner removed the BAC Valve and it was re-installed last Friday. It needs to be adjusted a bit more because the idle is still fluctuating too much.
