1300cc RC injector failure poll RECOUNT
Due to complaints filed by CA forum residents we are going to have a recount with less ambiguous ballots.
I believe the problem with, "have they failed, YES or NO," was that the question could not be answered correctly without reading . . .the question!
The new poll:
Have you experienced 1300cc injector failure?
My 1300cc injectors have failed.
My 1300cc injectors have not failed.
If anybody is unsure of which choice to pick please contact me. I have again refrained from using a long list of answer choices for fear of making it confusing and or tedious. However, if anybody would like to also post mileage and max duty cycle information please do so.
If the mod could please flush the last thread on this subject I would appreciate it.

I got my RC bored out 1300cc injectors through RotaryXecret7 and they have worked fine. Hopefully they will continue to do so. RC even provided me with a flow chart to let me know what my injectors are shootin at. One of them reads 1298cc and the other read 1302cc.

its kinda depends on a lot of things... I have seen people sending in old and poor condition injectors and get bored out. Those will probably be more likely to fail. But if the condition is good, they shouldn't fail that frequent.

32 people have voted that their 1300 cc have failed meanwhile nobody has posted the story.
I still think they are voting based on "I heard a story from a friend........
That is the reason why I went with 1200 cc, PANIC from the so much talked about horror stories.
1300 cc failure Fact or Fiction???
Oh, and I did not vote on the poll.

My 1200 are working fine, no motor replacement for me. Wonderland, after the first motor let go, then the second, then the 3rd, what were you checking to see what the cause was that made the engines let go?

Well when RP installed them they were leaking and flooding the engine... the original tuning put my at 425 rwhp on my old T04S... then at 390~ running real rich then mid 300's on 10lbs of boost... but the thing was... my last motor let go after pulling away from my friends house... just getting past the switch from primary to secondary... and I didn't have time to even build full boost. So by process of elimination... it wasn't any twin turbo switching system b.s. since I wasn't using any of it... wasn't the tuning b/c by the time the last motor rolled around if was running a 8-9.0 AFR aka REAL RICH... it wasn't the turbo b/c i didn't even build boost when my last motor let go around 1k after being built... couldn't be bad gas b/c I bought gas in 2 completley different cities... and also I switched my injectors after my last motor and now my motor has lasted 20k w/ 850's all around... now I'm on 850/1600 setup.
Problem solved.

Did you do any testing to confirm the injectors were actually sticking or was it just based on a process or elimination or the fact that you havent had any prob's with the new engine/injector set up? When you swaped engines/injectors didnt you have the new setup retuned? Especially since you changed injector size.
Were they 1200 or 1300?

Is there such a thing as a Brand New Mazda 1300cc injector ?? Someone is claiming that they have brand new 1300cc injectors from Mazda and that they aren't bored out RC Engineering ones. I have never heard of that, but then again.....I really don't know.

Considering how many FD owners have upgraded their fuel systems, I highly doubt there are off-the-shelf 1300cc injectors that fit into the stock fuel rail.

also considering the rate of failure i dont know why/who would trust a perfectly good motor to them. even if only 10 people have had motors pop out of 48 that voted so far, is it realy worth the few bucks you will save over a 1600 set up?

I have run the 1300's for almost two years
without problems.I think alot of guys out
there have blown motors because there fuel
system couldn't keep up with there injectors, and blame it on the 1300's.Another good thread would be, how
many out there have a good accurate fuel
pressure gauge installed in front of them!

In any case, I agree with your point. I believe my mechanic won't even install 1300cc injectors, but will install 1200cc injectors (that's second hand though as I still have the stock 850cc). Apparently, the injectors bored out to 1200cc are much more reliable.
