I don't know. I'll check it later tonight, and also put my stock cap back on.

I just checked my coolant overflow tank, and I don't have the rubber attachment thing where the filler tube meet the bottle picture here:

https://www.rx7club.com/attachment.p...9&d=1200537517

ALSO, could a leaky waterpump gasket be the culprit? I'm not sure if it's actually leaking since I kind of spilt a little bit of coolant when I was filling (full bottle of 50/50).

damn....I feel bad, this is not even what this thread is about...

The general symptoms sound to me like the leak occurs when the coolant expands due to heating up during idling, etc. So the missing gasket on the OF tank could be the culprit - as the tank tries to store the coolant overflow, it leaks out of the joint.

WP gasket could leak, but that's not what your symptoms sound like.

There is a procedure for switching over to the NPG+ It's not compatible with the Ethelyn glycol coolant you have to switch to a coolant with the same type as the NPG+ (Sierra) IIRC. You'll need to go to the Evans web site and read first.
One thing I'm pretty sure of is that the fill neck where the dip stick resides in the recovery tank doesn't need to seal that well as the coolant will over flow out of the tiny hol in the top of the tank before it flows out of the fill neck. If when your car is completely cold the recovery tanks should just come to the full mark or just below for there o be enough room for expansion and contraction when the car goes through it's run and down conditions. Any higher than the full mark when cold and it's probable it will overflow when at operating condition.

I'd run the sierra stuff first to flush out the other stuff before I use the NPG+ The sierra stuff is cheap!

this is what i did, a little overkill

-completely empty the system (including the block drain)
-fill with 100% sierra (no water at all)
-drive a few times to operating temp
-empty system again
-fill with evans prep flush and drive a few times again
-empty and refill with npg+

I have to use NPG-R because of my electric water pump, the ( R ) stuff is not as thick as the others so the water pump can move it easier.

Not overkill my friend. You're just very cautious. A trait all FD owners should have.

i to am having this, i knew it was a coolant seal and i just have a question. once i go and get a rebuild do they drain everything so i could just add the evans right away?
