Originally posted by jimlab Yep, I just cut away the plastic to expose the "bar", and then drilled a hole through it and mounted the battery terminal to it with a 10mm bolt and nut. |
Originally posted by rockshox i got you all beat. i eliminated my relay box. i figured why do i need this big ol box to hold 3 relays. so i just made a little mount for the 3 relays that holds then in front of the crossmember. |
Well, I didn't really see the need to completely remove it as I might want to (Doubt it) put the car back together someday... :)
Good job though!! :D :D |

Originally posted by jimlab In my case, it was sort of pointless to keep it for only one relay, and considering the other stuff I removed from my front harness... :) https://www.rx7club.com/attachment.p...postid=2358171 WOW!! |
hey Jimlab youhave the connectors that go to the ecu, just the connectors itself with enough wire to solder onto? mine are all torn up from the last two engine I have had to install... Pulling it through the firewall is a bitch

Originally posted by jimlab It's amazing what you can strip out after eliminating a few things like the air bags, air conditioning, pop-up lights... rotary engine... :) |

What does the TNS actually do? "Tail Number Side" doesnt exactly explain much! Is it the tail lights?

i was looking into moving mine some other place as well. the first pics are in the way of my intake piping though. . . ill have to figure something else out. . . maybe make a new box elsewhere like mentioned before.
good thread!!! paul |
I'm going to make a rack from billet aluminum and mount 3 or 4 Bosch relays on it and call it good. I was down to "TNS", but realized that I need one for my horns, if I install some, and will need one for my electric water pump.
I expect before all is said and done that I'll be back up to 4 or more, but they'll be out of the way, and if one blows, you can replace it with a $4 part instead of a $20+ Mazda relay. :) |
