Lupe, on their website's main page it says:

Hagerty does not offer an insurance product for:

* Inexpensive home-built kits that do not replicate a classic vehicle
* Replicas of the 1963-67 Shelby Cobra Roadster
* Any vehicles used for camping, off-road or utility-type driving
* Pro-street vehicles modified exclusively with racing features such as roll cages, wheelie caster, nitrous systems, parachutes, etc. (Consideration may be given to show-use only vehicles)
* Regular-use vehicles driven on a daily basis
* Vehicles used primarily for commercial use
* Modified or customized motorcycles
* Any vehicle modified with a nitrous system. Vehicles that run on nitro-methane or blown alcohol systems are ineligible.

Damn are you serious!?! That must mean your car is more unsafe.... no actually I guess they equate all roll cages to racing.

That sucks cause I wanted to do the Grand National, Supra and the 7 but the Supra has a roll cage. And that also rules out the Grand National which is alcohol injected.

All together our cars are only driven about 1500 miles a year.

He is implying that you could have stated the vehicle was show only if you were sneaky enough and had researched their site. Notice what he put in bold

Yes I know but I was too lazy to really answer his question. I didn't feel like fishing through their website so I gave them a call instead. I'd rather talk to someone anyhow.

Given 2k miles per year on the FD I got the following quotes:

At $40k value, $250 deductible, $1368/yr
At $25k, value, $250 deductible, $884/yr
At $25k value, $500 deductible, $798/yr

The middle quote is looking pretty damn good to me right now .

Rich
quite a bit higher than what Ramy referenced....like you said, must be NJ take it up the butt insurance
