Wow thank you for taking the time to do this. I can only view the video right now. To be honest, I'm not very impressed with the spread but that may be because I'm just looking at video. How much adjustment did you have with the HWL lights?

Can't wait to see the rmagic results

no problem....

the light spread in the video is closer to what it actually is in real life but not exact. my point and click underwater camera doesnt capture the gradient cut off that light has very well. i dont have or know anyone that has a DSLR camera around here so theres not really anything i can do to provide better results other than hope someone else with these lights provides more data.

as far as adjustability, theres quite a bit actually. the light assembly bracket itself has slotted mount holes and the light pods are on a left, right, up and down adjustable bracket. so regardless of the height of your car youll be able to get these to point where they need to. the light bucket itself is adjustable a little bit as well with the way it attaches to the car. from my understanding, brand new these are shipped with extra material that needs to be sanded to fit. if someone were to buy these i am confident there would be no fitment or light adjustment issues.

also want to note i am speaking on their first gen light set up. they have a new version out that uses different light assemblies along with a slightly redesigned bucket assembly. i will go out again and use an iphone 6 to try and record the light spread while driving. im pretty confident the camera on it is better than my point and shoot.

so i finally got out and did a similar test with the r-magic lights on my other fd. after i aimed them, i'll say that the light spread and coverage is BETTER than the HWL by a lot. especially with the high beam. unfortunately, i wasnt able to replicate the conditions i had in america but i had this dark alley way. it doesnt showcase the side to side spread but the forward coverage is amazing. same issue as before with my camera only having an automatic setting so the exposure time was whatever it wanted but i think youll get the idea. in a few months when i have this FD stateside i can do a proper side by side with the HWL and r-magic.

even with the exposure time being 1/4 i can say that the images are VERY close to what it looks like in real life. the low beam light on these is pure white with only the slightest tint of blue, very very slight. the high beams are hyper white. it looks natural like day time. also want to note that this test was done without the bucket installed so it was just the light assembly. this was done because i dont have the tool on hand to lock the bolts that control the up and down adjustment. also want to note that these are the non-hid version of the r-magic lights.
