Those cars look 👌🏻👌🏻. I'll keep an eye out for some seats. They are hard to come by.

Fujiwara Tofu Shop is a hit! 50% off if you park your FD in front (more if it is Yellow).
Super cool!

Wonder if we have something like this here in California.

Found the bumper

I think I found it. Admittedly spent WAY too much time surfing the net.

VIS “Js” bumper

or whoever VIS replicated idk the Japanese company unless VIS is the original.

FYI. Never seen one so I might rock it for a while

Yeah. It is a cool looking unit using the early combination lights. I have been reviewing the old tuner bibles. They show all kinds of kits. I will look for the VIS Kit

BC Wings West

https://visracing.com/

Looks like VIS is based in California. Seems they are not offering front bumpers, but still have a spoiler for sale.

It says that they acquired Wings West in 2004. I wonder if that is a clue.

It seems VIS/Wings West may have been in the knock-off business. They call your bumper the JS Front Bumper.

But it could be a replica of another makers bumper.

I notice they have a Veilside Combat replica, which they call "Invader".

Which came first, the Replica Fujiwara Tofu Shop or the Replica Redsuns FD?

A t least two other Yellow FD replicas in the works locally (including the shopowners). There may be a shortage of yellow wrap material.

Just joshing, that car is way too clean for hacking or other tomfoolery. Dream since 15 years old fulfilled and I'm driving it until one of us dies.

zero, and I mean 99.99% rust free.

Threw gauges in the car, f*ed with boost, fuel system, intercooler, etc.

blew the motor. Twice i think. No longer talk to him so idk. Heard the car is ok these days, but man… A near perfect, not a scratch MR. Check the value on one of those, fyi.

You want one to hack to bits, see my car above. It’s already nearly stripped. Ill 100% trade you 🤣 mine was an obvious track duty vehicle.

Old boomer rant over, I’ll tell you what I told him- Its a great base, bone stock. You can finally make it yours- I’d have done the same.. but choose what you will do wisely. I am actually taking my car back to a more streetable, but modded still, car.

Also, anyone in Japan want to go check my car for me? My car is “held hostage” at the port in Japan still 😒

I don’t think I’ve thrown my hat in the ring yet. Bought August 2020, just cracked 23,000km.
Tanabe exhaust,Greddy boost controller, replaced oil pressure with boost gauge. I’ve got some of the later model 17” staggered 5-spoke wheels to refinish and install. Don’t plan on doing anything else to it.

Yep if I wanted something to get nasty with there's plenty of clapped out examples or shells out there. Will enjoy her stock for some time to see what all the hype was about back then, then move into standard fare reliability mods air flow and heat resistance/cooling. Reliability and longevity's priority 1

Again, your car, your dreams, but I had to rant. Good call IMO. Get some reliable and tasteful mods, up the power a bit, and enjoy the car. Lets keep some of these near stock cars cleaned up, right?

Did the same thing with my FC, and wish I would have been more careful with it. Driving that car was the best thing, but now it is forever up on the jacks.

I have heard that NOS battery covers are still available for, maybe, US$60.

I see you still have the battery lifting strap. Rare part!

BC RHD Production Numbers by VIN

Here is some research I did a while back showing the VIN numbers of RHD near year end and model change overs. The effort was to try to identify the annual production. The model change overs where not necessary at the half year mark I imply in the table. Thee is info available on the dates of changeover, I just have not incorporated. I also compare my figures to figures presented elsewhere.
