Unicorns Where are They
I was checking VIN databases quite often a while ago. It seems that JDM Version 1 cars started at VIN 1000030. I also have notes from a search in the RX7club archived material that there were the following cars in Canada:
Handle VIN
hulanfd3s Silver 1991 100056
baw138 Red 10/31/1991 100066
FDKayzer 100160
My sense is that these cars were "back east". It would be interesting where those very early cars ended up. Chances of survival not likely that good.

Beauties
Hey Ceylon:
What a great bunch of cars.
I notice they are mostly OEM or OEM (Plus)
I.e., not heavily modified (at least on the exterior).
Is that the prevailing style or is there some compliance with regulations issues?
Thanks for posting up. Very inspiring!
Can very much relate to rainy day meets.

That is the "Euro" spec back bumper. Accomodates the longer license plate. Also there may have been "back-up fogs".
It seems the piece was actually an insert. Someone is selling such inserts on Ebay.
P224 may be an original import while the other cars could be "grey market" later imports.

The silver car is actually a JDM car but with a euro bumper fitted.
At first I didn't like the euro bumper, but it definitely grew on me. They are not easy to get hold of these days due to the very low production numbers originally. Not sure what you mean by insert? Do you have a link out of interest? They are all one piece with the bumper on the euro bumpers.

Insert
Maybe it is an aftermarket part? Maybe the guy in Greece that sells replica air dams etc?
Hope this works.

Yeah it is an aftermarket piece. Sorry to mislead.
I suppose that extra switch you mention is a rare item, as is likely the "headlight leveling" switch.

That's pretty cool, thanks for the link, nice to have the option to convert a standard bumper!
Yeah the switches are very sought after and fetch good money if they ever do surface. Cant say I've seen one for sale since 2016. Middle switch in my FD below, looks like a normal fog swtich but reversed and different light pattern angle (Straight rather than angled down like front fogs):

Period Miata Pieces
Sourced some "in period" wood Miata pieces. Wood shifter **** is a bit lightweight. Thinner wheel lets me see turn signal indicators more easily. Wood pieces remind me of my old RX3 (plastic) pieces and also hark back to the the 1968 Cosmo. Brightens up the interior.

Hi, may I ask where did you get those RHD A Pillar gauge pods from and how is the fitment?
Thanks in advance!

Got the last one at the local parts store (C$25). Left over from the tuner era. They were surprised they had it.
Try RHDJapan.
They also come up from time to time on here and ebay.
I have AEM Oil Temp and AFR Gauges. I am on my third AFR sensor because we made the bung on the bottom side of the down pipe (accumulates moisture).
Column mount gauge is a Sportcomp Boost gauge with a darkened cover.
I also have 1.5" Oil Pressure and Voltmetre Gauges behind the drop down cubby door.
Fitment of the pod is great. But find a used A pillar cover to use for the install (if you can).
Pods align with the sight line of the A Pillar so not much visibility is lost.
They also don't increase the enclosed felling of the cockpit much more.
AFR gauge is very nice to have.
