Pictures and advice
Here is the 1992/1993? Rx7 that I have questions about. Have really no clue about all the ins and outs on these things seems like a whole sep rx7 car world is out there. I was told this was a 1992 but title says 1993 it was bought in Japan and brought here. 1 owner. has a 10 digit vin fd3s 100891but i cant seem to find anywhere to decode this number. spent most of its time in storage us titled in 2021. I did just find out that it was converted to a single turbo. Oh and it has a backseat is that normal? I see most only have front seats?

Manufacture date is likely end of November 1991. Someone will be able to help you with the Vin search. If the car registered in 1992, it could be assigned that year. 1993 would be a stretch. However, the year in Japan would be the year in the Japanese emperor system and someone might have translated it wrong. 1991 would be "Heisei 3".
The car has a complete kit. We would have to look up in tuner magazines to identify the source. There are very many and very many replicas.
The wing is from a Version 4 car (although introduced on some Version 3 cars). It is often called the "whaletail" but Mazda referred to it as "dolphin-like"..
Scroll up through this thread to find a link to a site with all the Japanese manuals from 1991 to 2001.
You will want to figure out the first wiring manual for version one cars, as the wiring changed somewhat after version one cars.
Somewhere on this site you can find a list of all the early recall items (there were many). Likely all of these have been dealt with on your car, but it is interesting to check out.

Thank you!! So what does any of that mean? I was told by the owner is was a 1992 FDR1 is that correct to say? I will figure out all the upgrade stuff I had no idea that much was done to it, so I will be getting as much info as I can. Are these upgrades good? bad? From wha info I have the only thing really left to tackle is the fuel system, it needs to be getting more fuel was what I was told so I have been looking into that. are there any benefits to it being rhd or early manufacture? Some people get really excited about it but the more I look around the more negative feedback I see on the RHD so is it a plus or a neg?

RHD, LHD, it does not matter, It is an FD. Naturally there will be a bias against RHD in an LHD world. Likewise LHD would be less popular in an RHD world (Japan, Australia, England). But as more RHD 1990's JDM come in, people will get more used to it. Further, the cars are coming in often now as collectors cars, and the RHD adds some cachel (think RHD Ferrari or Jaguar).
"Not getting enough fuel" is a good reason to not push the car atm. If the mixture gets too lean, the motor might try to run backward, haha. This is called "detonation" and is characterized by a loud bang. Bang rhymes with bank, and that is were you will be headed after a detonation event.
There is a bunch of aftermarket gauges. One is likely an EFR gauge. If the car is running above 14 when you are applying the gas, you should be careful (it will naturally runover that on decel).
The LHD FD started coming into the US as early as April 1992. But they were called 1993 model year cars (this is not uncommon for North American cars, eh?)
Production of the FD began in Japan in late 1991, even some USDM were made then. Yet those USDM were called 1993 model year cars.
I understand that in Japan, the year assigned to the car is the year it was registered after initial retail sale.
Even 1991 manufacture JDM cars might have been called 1992 model year in Japan.
As an early car, your car might have been held by a dealer as a demonstrator, and not actual sold until 1993.
In such case it may have been registered in 1993 (Heisei 5)..
When ordering parts in North America, it is sometimes easier that you say you have a 93-95 FD. This is because this is the way many sellers have their catalogues set up.
They scratch their heads when I say I have a 1999 FD. Their screens will say "it does not exist"..
Regarding the quaility of the mods and if the mods work together you may have to ask that in the "build" section of this site.
Meanwhile, start looking into where the nearest specialist RX7 shop is.
Many folk from Seattle have come North to Force Fed Performance in Abbotsford.

This would mean this should be a "Type R" which is essentially the equivalent to the USDM R1. Should have Dual oil coolers from the Factory, no sunroof, stiffer suspension, R1 wing, R1 front lip, Factory strut tower bar that says "RX7" in the middle, suede seats and a few other things. Your car looks like its been touched a lot at least from the body aspect but you hopefully still have the Dual oil coolers, you can see by checking the intakes on the left and right sides of the front bumper and looking for the radiator looking things. I have the same model and from the looks of it the same option with the rear wiper but mine is a 94.

Ok, again I cannot thank you all enough for your help I was getting so frustrated. Last thing, this is not really the kind of toys that I am used to dealing with, obviously, I took this and the harley bagger as more of a favor but living in eastern oregon we don't really have the weather for these types of toys. So what would you all say is a fair asking price for something like this-compression test was good fyi we have a local race shop and he came out and did a quick once over of the basics. He said fuel system isn't a must do unless you wanted to race it, so that's a bonus and I have been driving it for a few weeks now with no issues. This obviously is a special market so where do I go to sell something like this and whats a fair price?
If you'd like a Build Sheet, let me know. It tells all of the car's secrets as it came from the factory.

There's a LOT more info about your FD available to me than most anyone else. Japanese model grades are completely different than North American ones and BMW-style upbadging happens more than I like to admit. Last week, I had to break the news to the owner of a dealer that his FD wasn't a Type R as he thought, didn't even have to run a Build Sheet on it to pick that out. One detail stuck out from the images, it was an automatic. For FD3S-1xxxxx cars, Type R's were only manuals and have a specific MSC code. The car in question was actually a Type S automatic, so base model. Owner wasn't too happy, but he's glad I have the knowledge to catch something before it came back to bite him in the rear.

yes I submitted it and the Harley as vehicles and they will be getting back to me in 3 days lol and the recently sold ones that I think are similar range from 20-100k so who knows where this falls I’ll just shoot for median

Found this supercharging proto-type hidden in the hillsides. Likely did not make it to the Beta stage. To my knowledge no Teslas have found this spot yet. But nevermind, we could not find the plug-in outlet.
Heart of a hydro power grid (psst, it's a rotary!).

Despite the salt trucks being out in force overnight, we decided to take advantage of the super clear blue sky day to do a 9 hour 350 km circumnavigation of the lower Fraser Valley, avoiding the TransCanada Highway that bisects the region.
https://goo.gl/maps/4d8VDPrsteRGaFs9A
Rosedale where the Fraser River emerges from the Cascade mountains. Fresh snow on the peaks, but the valley floor was unscathed.
Siri misdirected us a few times. Here she decided we needed a little off-roading FD style!
This is as high as the sun gets at 1:00 pm on any January 29th in B.C.
Iconic swimming area at Cultus Lake. In summer it is nearly impossible to visit here due to the crowds. At 1 degree above freezing today, no one was swimming.
Can't pass by Abbostford International without a pic with "the plane". This back-up airport to YVR is the site of a famous airshow every August. No crowds today.
Figured to fill-up out in the valley to avoid Vancouver's high taxes on gasoline. Almost left it too long. Yes that is a C$140 fill-up.

I totally envy the time you have to do these drives. Before we had kids, the wife and I used to do similar with our car friends. I definitely enjoy seeing the pictures though. I wouldn't mind traveling up that direction one day.

Made it out to the first meet in the FD. We showed up way late and only 5 cars were in the parking lot. Ones was a MKIV supra. NA but still nice to see. His friend just bought a RHD supra and left a couple minutes before we got there.
