Yup I agree...We came up with a similar concept but cleaner looking (to me at least) and diffused, just need to find someone who can produce it for a reasonable price.

I don't know. It's over-styled, trying to hard to be different....something. Just looks goofy. Having the LEDs is OK, but can't overlook the styling. I'd rather spend money for the stock round lights.

So where can we buy these??
Can anyone provide a seller? Or are they just a one-off concept

They're just a one off...Or very few made, definitely not production. He even used the stock housings.

This is where you got the picture I thought you made these at first.

The stock lights already have a diffuser. I have been working on a set for about a year now but nobody looks in the exterior/interior section.

Agreed, looks like something you'd see on a cheesy Kei car out here.

Can someone enlighten me as to what the light diffuser does and how it'd change the look?

The only way to hide those leds is put them behind something opaque so carbon fiber can't be used...well you can use it but just have to be creative. With the leds behind a diffused lens (the red and amber parts on a stock tail) the diffuser will spread out the light making one led merge into each other for a uniform look.

Diffused on left and normal on right.

Diffused

Not diffused

Ahhhhh ok. Thanks, makes sense the would look a lot better diffused other than a cluster of spots, especially when not lit up.

i think any custom LED shop can make this?

I really like Clearcorners.com on their designs and i bet they could fabricate something like this but it would be doubly pricey.

Anyone can make this all you need is a little knowledge in electrical.

Clearcorners.com is way overpriced 400$ for sidemarkers that have leds that only cost 15$.

if lens were tinted so it you could not see the leds or if they at least didnt use the chrome led seats, it would look much nicer. still on the fence on this one.

Looks like the current bid is 12,100 yen (JPY) or $156.13 (USD). Wonder what they will actually sell for.

I admit I was a little bit excited yesterday, but looking at these again... they look horribly riced out. Upper lines don't even follow the curve of the taillight, and the leds or whatever almost look like bling, way too large.

Hope you guys and Tom are still considering the led ring design for production again. Think there's enough following to not need to design something new, if you are going to try that route again

I used to make them, but they're discontinued...unless you want to DIY and make your own. The guy who owns that car wrote up a DIY.

I was all set & cashed up to buy those lights on the Yahoo auction, but I cant translate that page to save myself.. I wanted them for the fact I've never seen anything like them anywhere else. Dammit, I guess I'll miss out.
