First time starting the FD in almost 6 years!
This FD was neglected for a long, long time.
Been slaving away at bringing this thing back from the dead all week.
I can finally sit back, this beer tastes really good for some reason haha.
I got the start up on video, thought you guys might enjoy.
Cheers!

Everything checked out, then I went ahead and replaced the battery since the shop told me it wouldn't hold a charge. And it fired up. 😮
My only guess is maybe the terminals on the old battery were bad.
But I drove it around a bit and everything is working very well. So I won't complain.

Military stuff I'd say.
Then transitioning out, moving around for new jobs.
It was actually a pretty big impulse buy. Bought it in 2011, and put maybe 50-60 miles on it since then.
Almost feels like a time capsule, going through this thing lol

Crazy going through something after so many years isn't it!? I've got a Nissan that I haven't ran since December 18th, 2010. Just pulled it out of my enclosed trailer and actually worked on it for the first time in 6 years. Very weird feeling

I used to resent the fact that I bought it, Especially since after some time it was mostly just a big question mark that I rarely ever saw.
I honestly felt like I knew nothing about this thing even though I had the title for it. Weird feeling. But after rolling up the sleeves and getting in there, it has a strange mystique to it or something haha and I'm very glad to have it. Especially after getting familiar with the aftermarket ecu and putting a map on there myself.
I still had the previous owner's number and I called him to ask for some basic information about the car... 5.5 years after I bought it like I just bought it a week ago lol
He was surprised and excited to hear about his "old firebreather" haha
