*FD Wagon (pic)*

that is the Trust/Greddy rear hatch, very very rare and quite expensive. Not too mention ugly as sin. They go for about $1200+ on the used market, probably would have to ship it in a container.

I saw that for the first time when I was on the market for my FD! I was searching cars on Carsensor, saw a pretty nice FD with low mileage, no accident history, shaken and selling for a decent price. Clicked on the pictures and saw that wagon hatch. I thought WTF?? and moved on. Ugliest thing I've ever seen!

Is this good?
Emboldened by wine, I ordered and picked up "the last one" new from GReddy in Irvine, Ca (who were really cool to deal with in case you want to order anything direct).
Forgive any mis-recollection, but I was told these were commissioned by Mazda Japan, designed with help from Amemiya-san and marketed in cooperation with Greddy Trust. They were produced in the same factory as rx7 parts, which explains the excellent design, fitment, and details. I know they are polarizing, but I feel compelled to document and preserve this thing. I'll follow up with more pictures and information...
The quality is very impressive. At least some of the glass is DOT, complete with working defroster. I don't think this thing saves any weight; it's very heavy. The interior of the piece has custom trim panels kindof like stock. The latch and hinges are all sturdy and metal. It came with fully instructions that I can't read. It's 4 bolts and a wire harness, and I'll keep my stock hatch on stand by if I'm able to get this thing painted and installed.

Nice! You can use Google Translate on your phone to translate the manual at least enough to get the gist of it.
I didn't realize how high quality the hatch was. I'd love to see pics of the underside of it! I wonder if the rear glass is a stock piece of glass from some other car.
Is the large curved glass actual glass or plexiglass?

I was on the Greddy USA site the other day and saw they *just* sold the last brand new hatch from their "cleaning sale" page for only $600
