Thanks Elombard. Rarely do I really like kits, but THAT Amemiya kit in THAT color really seems to work (for me). However, I do appreciate the compliment! Probably my 2 favorite FDs of all time would have to be THAT one, and Dcups. Several others come up in my top 10 include David Hayes, Gordon Monson, Ernie T, Toyzzz, etc., etc.

Thanks David. They are Mutegi's in Neo Chrome. Haven't taken them off yet, so the lugs are currently perfect. They do NOT recommend using an impact wrench if you want to keep them nice for long. I paid $100 for the set, which I think was a pretty good price. I like them because they have a "titianium" look, without the cost. Also, I felt that the color compliments the CYM. I think they'd look good on your setup as well!

They come with their own socket, which fits into the Meister slot with room to spare. Just hand tightened as much as possible, then went slowly with final tightening and torquing.

What! How can anyone not like this photo? I love it. The time of day is perfect, it captures the feeling of dusk perfectly and i like the backdrop setting.

Really seems like it's "photoshoot" season with all of the recent shots from new photo sessions.

18x9 +48 fronts (A disk)
18x10 +40 rears (O disk)

Currently running a 5 mil spacer in the front, just to get them OUT a little. If I had to do it over again, I probably would have ordered the fronts in a +40 to 43 if you can get that offset.

Thanks Ol-Skool. The guy who shot my car and other Import photographers here in Phoenix are using this Photoshop HEAVY style to give certain images a more "artistic" look. You either like it or you don't. I personally like it. So much in fact that I've made it my new wallpaper at work. However, it's not for everyone

NO it is for everyone because i say so!!! Damn punks

At any rate i like the style too, artistic shots are better than plain old run of the mill shoot your car next to a river from your wife's point and shoot camera

It would look amazing if the editor didn't get lazy and do a crappy job with a gradient mask. Look where the sky meets the trees / landscape, there is a small area of what the sky actually looked like before editing; also the trees shouldn't be black. It just looks unnatural and we are nit picking. Still good pics

Hey Dan,

My photographer said "the effect is called HDR and the halos around the mountains and trees are part of the process and intentional when editing an image like that using this process." Again, I don't know a lot about Photoshop, but it's a different style and I do like it. I guess it just comes down to personal preference. If you don't think that trees should be black, you obviously have not visited Arizona

the halos are part of the unfinished process....

Agreed with Dan....
Alot of people get scared when trying to mask Trees because the branches are so thin so they just use a huge brush with a big feather to get most of the area..... I have some images for a fellow member first but if u want Send the original image to me Ill show u how to HDR it

Besides that great looking car... I was never a fan of the CYM but when there clean you got to give credit when credits due....

Here's a pic of me crying as I left my car in the shop

no that is called "HDR FAIL".

here is a GOOD example of an HDR image:
http://farm1.static.flickr.com/183/3...a83c458b_o.jpg

^notice the clean, subtle effect - it's not being using as a clusterbomb to over-pop every ******* nook & cranny of the photo with 1000% saturated color.

and here is a BAD example (taken from your "photographers" website):
http://www.cmpixels.com/wp-content/g...732hdr1200.jpg

^horrible angle, poor framing, way too much of the hdr effect, no depth of field, etc. etc. etc. this is a bad photo, period.

there is a right way and a wrong way. that is an example of the wrong way.

hdr-style images used to take a lot more work and know-how. now you can just open photoshop, hit File > Automate > Merge to HDR, and load in a few images - it does it all for you, however the effect isn't always ideal.

these days, all it takes to be a "pro photographer" is a decent dSLR, a pirated copy of photoshop, and a couple youtube video tutorials to show you how to watermark an image.

the car looks great, but those photos are not "professional" by any means, and the HDR job is mad weak. that dude also sucks at framing, and the car could have been parked better. it looks like he did zero re-touching to the photos besides running the automated hdr merge. i love when people know how to use the filters & automated processes of photoshop, but have no idea how to use the clone stamp or airbrush...

imo, over-the-top hdr is a horrible trend. google "hdr car" and look at all the photos that come up - 99% of them look like ***. this is what happens when professional tools are put in the hands of unskilled, talentless hacks. </end rant>
