Post Some Pics of your FD! :D <- Pics of your car go in this thread!!
[QUOTE=speedjunkie;9980060]Partially correct. I got mine a bit further than he did with just the Eastwood roller. We didn't pull it with anything. We DID however do some extra body work, but that was just to smooth it out, not extend the fenders.
Yo man i love this look i want to get it done so bad

Here is a good how-to write-up.

Just in case anyone is wondering they are twin TC72's, the limiting factor right now will be the injectors (8x1600cc) or the block lol. i should hit 4 digits right around 20psi and should max out at around 25psi.
The rims are long gone the offsets are too for my liking, hopefully my rear flares will look like Speedjunkie's.
This started as a 240sx project but I decided that if im going to build my dream engine it should go in my favorite car.

Here's a pic my little (12 year old) brother took of my car when I was home last weekend with his point-and-shoot. I need to get more pictures taken with a proper camera, lol
What do you guys think?
I still need to install the FEED side skirts and RE-A PRO diffuser =\ been lazy/distracted/out of town, lol
btw, the wing only stays on for transportation, or when I plan on doing (possibly) dumb things at high speeds (or when, in the future, I take it to the track).

To be perfectly honest, neither was I the first time I saw it. However it has definitely grown on me. It also doesn't hurt my conscience knowing that it's legitimate MazdaSpeed, and (possibly) the only one like it in the country ;-)
Surprisingly the rear rubber is only 255, and all season performance, lol! I def plan on picking up some dry performance tires, I just need to figure out whick ones I want! Lol

I really like the look of your front bumper and the integrated driving lights, very unique!

Anyway, yes filler will probably be required afterwards. What we did was used the fender roller until it got to the clearance it is now, then smoothed it a little with a hammer and dolly, then used filler, sanded and painted.
What I'd like to do is go back and cut out a bit of the inner fender well so we can go higher on the fender and flare it out higher to give more of a bubble shape. Due to where the inner fender meets the outer, we couldn't get the roller up any higher and it ended up like this.
I think there is a misconception going on about the difference in "rolling" and "pulling." You aren't physically pulling on the fenders with something. You are still using a roller to pull the fenders. "Pulling" is another word for flaring the fender. "Rolling" is simply compressing the lip under the fender flat. If you continue flaring the fender it is "pulling" the fender.

Technically though, I still don't agree. But I'm going to split hairs even more and say that this is EXACTLY flaring and not quite as much like pulling since we didn't technically pull anything...hell, we pushed if anything. But hey, it doesn't really matter. Whatever you choose call it, it's done the way it's done. And to be more specific, what we did first was rolled the fenders (because that was what I did when I first got the wheels a couple years before, although I used a bat at the time because I didn't have the roller yet lol). So the lip is still actually there, just pressed against the inner part. I kinda wish I'd gone back and cut that part out first because it made it harder to flare the fender, AND before we smoothed it with filler you could see where the lip was pressing through the outer layer of metal.

I didn't think it was possible to split hairs, but you went and did it LOL.

Please, please, please take the time to smooth them and finish them like speedjunkie and Sephiroth. I'm tired of seeing beautiful cars with really crappy looking fenders.
