Everyone frowns on them because they are knock offs and are much weaker in build than the originals.

Everyone hates on the Rotas, but truth be told, it was only a few lines of wheels early on that really had problems, and those have been discontinued with no major issues since. (Subzeros were notorious for cracking, along with the smaller multispoke wheels)

I ran the Rota Prodrive knocks for almost 4 years with not a single complaint.

lol nah it looks cold but the snow is melting fast cause its been REALLY nice past couple of days.

Like 60 degrees. And i dont know about you but 60 is PERFECT weather for anything. Cars, sports, hanging out outside etc.

I dont like too too cold and i hate hot weather. Im content with 45-60, maybe 70 MAX.

OK.. so they copy all the expensive wheels and sell them for a small fee..
I'm for that... Why pay $500 a wheel when you can buy one that is VERY similar in design for 1/3 the cost?

As for them breaking???
I had a pair of Rota N1R wheels on my 1st gen that stood the test of time for over 8 years and they never once gave me an issue... How easily do those "Expensive" wheels bend when you hit a pot hole??

YEP... just as easily

Now don't think I am cheap... I spent over $3500 on name brand Billet Wheels back in '98 when I had a Chevy truck and those wheels dulled out just as quickly as the cheap Eagles my buddy had on his....Just cause you spend a small fortune doesn't mean they are better.... they all have to meet standards to be sold...

O.K.. I'll get off my soap box now

right on. Rotas may not be the best choice when buying them for a time attack car but they are just fine as a daily driver

Everyone gives Rotas **** but they are a decent rim now. Sure, they cop designs but they look good, last, and are inexpensive. Not all of us have a limitless fund for modding our cars and also have families to support, etc.

I had a pair of RAYS wheels on my last car and I destroyed one hitting a pot hole...luckily they weren't really expensive or I would have been even more mad. But I learned my lesson and decided to stick with less expensive wheels in the future, like Rotas, TSW, 5Zigen, Enkei, etc. For a car thats gets driven and isn't some show car, IMO those wheels are perfect and you won't feel like Falcon punching a baby in the face if you curb rash one.

Rota Grid's are TE37 knockoffs, but the Rota Grids can be way more concave than the TE37's. I think thats why people like Rota Grids. (plus they are cheaper)

Just picked her up a few days ago. Both of them are my babies. And yes, the bike is still my daily driver/grocery getter.

Oh dear lord that is unfortunate looking...

I do hope you have invested as much money into the suspension and drivetrain as you wasted on that hideous bodykit and paint job
