That's good to know.. I have a pair of SPG's that's going in the MB FD instead of the Spirit R.

The SPG's hold you in place better. The Spirit R's don't have the leg bolstering like the SPG's do.....I have to agree, I prefer my Bride seats to the RZ/Spirit R's.... They're not made for child bearing hips though

It is nice to ease into the Spirit R seats instead of maneuvering into the Bride/SPG's. At the end of the day it comes down to personal preference.

Phil, are you planning on replacing the carpet with another color? Nice pics!

Though it's nice to ease into the Spirit R seats instead of plopping into the Bride/SPG's. It all comes down to personal preference though.
You pretty much have to be Scrub's size to fit in his Brides. I'm talking 160ish pounds and less. Also, you had better never have dabbled in the weight room or you're hosed. It literally hurts me to ride in his passenger seats, I feel like the shell is going to crack at my hips.

The Spirit Rs on the other hand, can accommodate even people of Ihor Huk's size..... he is 6 foot 3 240ish and can fit in my passenger S-R seat. He rode all the way down to Deal's Gap in the seats (over 700 miles) and wasn't complaining [much]

I'm 5 11 189lbs with a 34 waist and after about an hour or so the recaro RZ seat are not the best seats to be riding in. However after seeing numerous aftermarket seats and over all fitment of the rails there is nothing like Paying for some OEM seat with rails. The rails make all the difference. IMO of course

Mike, I agree re: the rails. I love having the tilt function, and there is something to be said about oem safety requirements and a painless install.

I'm *ahem* 5 foot 7 (in driving shoes ) and my weight has been fluctuating between 185 and 190ish and the S-R seats fit me like a glove. I've made the trip down to DGRR and back 2.5 times now in them and have been very satisfied.

The shells are a bit flexible, which probably aids in the comfort factor but also makes them a bit less stable during cornering, which is what Scrubbo was postulating about.

Would it be a bad thing to use a springy cap for the rad filler neck? I remember that my OEM one worked itself loose and I had buy any one that would fit from the closest autoparts store (as it chose to become unuseable at the side of the road).

I didn't pay much attention to what psi rating it had, was that a bad thing to be driving around with a pressurized rad cap?

One day I do plan on eliminateing the AST as per the Robinette website.

PS. I think your lucky to be "ahem" 5'7" and drive the FD, it must be very comfy. Im 6'2" and "broad" so it's quite a squeeze for me and none too comfortable, I was reading what you said about rails etc, would aftermarket seats on rails be better for me??
