Actually maximizing contact patch is better than the american mentality of bigger is better. Most people with big tires don't even use more than 20 - 30 percent of the tire they have anyway due to bad alignment or suspension settings. Making it bigger ain't gonna do anything.

disagree with this statement..
providing a wider platform is relative to a wider contact patch.. gives you a bigger canvas to work with in other words..

Jio, I was just messin with ya ...but in all seriousness at the power levels you are making those tires would more then likely hurt your performance more then help it. 295's are not light. But that's an argument for a different thread.
