ihavetwins,
The car is lowered! It's as low as I would want it. Otherwise I won't be able to drive anywhere. lol
RE-Amemiya,
Thanks for the complement. I got the rims off another forum member. As you can see, the wheels are in mint shape! No rashes or dents at all.
Scrub,
Can you imagine I had to scale those pics down! They were much bigger before! lol
I just wanted the rims to give the car a more modern look. The body doesn't need any alterations (I absolutely hate body kits) but the original 16's looked a little small for such a potent vehicle. The optional OEM 17's give the car a more aggressive stance. The added rubber also helps with grip.
All this while keeping the stock OEM look is what I want.
Now all I need is to rob a bank or something so I can afford the Mazdaspeed diffusers from Ramy... LOL
A good possibility I'll order the 99 spec Nardi steering wheel as well...
Thanks guys...
Lets see some more pics!

Ramy... ahh ok, yea, the one Spirit R we have here on okinawa has back seats, so he must have the leather. would have remembered if it had recaros.
I have a black set of recaros.. they have some cigarette burns in them, so I went to mazda to order new covers... yea, the guy didnt blame me for not wanting to spend $3K on just covers.

Good luck w/ that. They're getting REAL rare nowadays, and the ones I am finding are either beat to hell or they're REAL expensive...and sometimes both! lol. I think the Japs are finally realizing how rare these seats are...
I am www.FDNewbieImports.com (or just click on the banner in my sig a few posts above). They're under the "Products" page (along w/ a bunch of other rare JDM & Spirit R stuff Hope you have deep pockets!

Pics of my $4500 FD
It's a '93 with 115K miles on the speedo. It has a Mazda reman engine installed 09/2000 at 87K miles. I drove it home. Yes, I only paid $4500 for it. Was it worth it? Yes!

OK, here's the deal. It has a clean title for starters. Second, I picked it up from Atlanta, trailered it to Savannah and drove it to my house (about a mile).
I have only one reason why I got it so cheap. DIVORCE. Yup, the owner had family trouble and needed to pay for a lawyer. He told me he was tired of paying people to fix it all the time. He wasn't a mechanic and will be the first to twell you so. He aslo had trouble finding garages that would even work on it. One place turned him away when he asked for a fuel filter change.
The car had a few things wrong with it. The A/C didn't work. The driver window would not come up. The stereo just made strange noises. It had trouble idling, slightly rough but driveable. It also smokes on cold startup for less then a minute. Surprise, surprise. Well, a can of Freeze 12, a drivers window switch, bypassed the Bose amps and made the stereo work and a 1st time change ever of the air filter and the idle is well now. I never fixed the smaoke on cold startup yet........
I put a boost gauge on it and found out I was only making 4 pounds. Well, I got a leak. I went checking and did find a clamp missing on the black plastic intake tube (crossover?) right behind the filler neck. There's my boost leak I said. I didn't even test it. I saw the rats nest for the first time and gasped. I had broken vacuum lines all over the place. Time for a non-sequential turbo mod.
I pulled the turbo and found cracks in the casting. Some of you may have seen my other post with pics asking about them.
