noise when turning the steering wheel
I currently own a 94' RX7 with only 20,000 original miles. The car is like brand new. The only problem I have with it that bothers me is that it creates popping sound while turning the steering wheel. Noise will be noticeable even though the steering wheel is turned only a little to the right or to the left. Some people say that the bushing needs to be replaced. I also heard sound while backing up the car. I CONFUSED..... ANYBODY GOT SAME PROBLEM??? NOISE EXPERT PLEASE.. THANKS....

I have the same noise only I have the popping/crackling sound when I apply the brakes and when I accelerate too. I ordered a new set of bushings and I'm hoping this fixes the problem. It could also be your sway bar end links. There is a heim joint there that can wear out over time. I've also heard someone say that they were getting a noise and they simply took off their sway bar and lubed up the areas where they are mounted. Evidently it was binding up and causing the noise. I'll be sure to post if and when I get my problem solved. Until then...
