Might might want to go custom then (after the header), otherwise it will be stuid loud
I would use a magnaflow or borla, basically two mufflers (the longest one you can fit under the car); one as a pre silencer and one as a muffler.

1 - RB header has a thicker tube
2 - Pacesetter runers are even close to being equal

well I have a 3" downpipe, to 2 3" resonators to a 3" thermal R+D muffler running out the passanger side.
aside from saving money and being easier, it's lighter and helps left-right weight distribution too! Dual exhausts are rice. :P

ihave rb header to 2.5 highflo cat from there it goes 2.5 and exits out the driver side to a tsuda muffler.at idle its a deep tone intil i get to around 5k then people know i'm behind them. in the long run its cheaper to get a muffler and cat and go custom i think.pic's wont load i'll try later

I was thinking of doing the true dual system. A RB dual header, then a dual inlet/outlet cat(I live in metro ATL, have to pass emissions), then a custom catback w/ a good set of mufflers to quiet down any possible rice.

I'll probably go with a 3" or 4" single system, depends on what the budget for the project looks like at the time. I'll probably use all Magnaflow mufflers, mostly because they sound fawking awesome. If you want to know what I mean, watch the 685rwhp FD video, it uses two magnaflow 4" in/out mufflers.

I had an A'PEXi GT for a few years, and now have RB true duals. With the GT and bonez dual cats, I passed CA smog with no problems. I would say the GT sounds like determination (really loud determination), while the RB is classy - understated at idle and powerful under load. The two systems sound completely different, where the GT is more like a weed-wacker/turbine hybrid, and the RB is like a modified WRX STi. As a warning, after long trips with the GT, my ears would be ringing.

Check sig for my old setup:
RB Header, RB Presilencer, to a Corksport cat-back. Click on the link to hear it at WOT from varying distances away.
I liked it alot, just too loud, my Borla cat-back made it much quieter and bearable. I can actually drive past cops and not have them harass me.

I run a complete turbo back one piece 4 inch SS setup with all mandrel bends and 1 magnaflow oval in the center where the cat should go, and 1 magnaflow round on the end with a turn down tip. Just make your own custom exhaust and stop being name brand ******.
Question; if the racing beat duals are so good why is no one making serious power using them? Answer: they are to restrictive. You can only quiet a exhaust down with restriction. Restriction = less power. However you can change the tone of your exhaust using a borla xr-1 or a magna flow SS race series. Both are straight through systems but they deepen up the note and makes it less ricey\raspy and keep you out of trouble with the cops. I also have found that using a turn down tip on the end really helps quiet the exhaust down. I will post some pics of the turn down we made from making 25 degree cuts in a SS 4 inch pipe on the chop saw.
