Your single exhausts

A'PEXi GT catback. Though I won't know what it sounds like for a couple of weeks as the rest of my parts come in to get her running.

Dude. Get a dual system like Racingbeat.
There are two main single catbacks available.
Apexi N1 and Corksport single
I have the corksport and it is VERY loud.
I haven't heard the N1 before but I bet it's still pretty loud.
Going single will save you a couple hundred though.

i have a RB downpipe to borla straight through presilencer to the apex'i cat back with its presilencer and muffler. Its very quiet at idle and light. Only thing that sucks about apex'i is they pack the mufflers with fiberglass so it's gotten louder as that **** melts. Later im gonna cut the presilencer and muffler open and replace the fiberglass with stainless steel wool.

I'm getting a CorkSport turbo downpipe, and coupled with my A'PEXi GT, should flow quite a bit, and be very loud. Not really what I want, just for cost efficiency as the GT was installed when I bought the car.

I got an RB header custom testpipe and apexi gt catback and 4k rpms and below it sounds kinda like a propeller plane out on the interstate and then at 6 to 7k it sounds almost like and Indy Car. I love that sound

yeah, it's cos the pacesetter header is ****.
well I have a 3" downpipe, to 2 3" resonators to a 3" thermal R+D muffler running out the passanger side.
aside from saving money and being easier, it's lighter and helps left-right weight distribution too! Dual exhausts are rice. :P

Basically, RB has very high quality products that are well designed. Also, because the RB header/DP with RB presilencer is the only setup I know of that reliably operates the aux ports on s4's without the use of electronic actuators.
I personally have the RB header/presilencer an Apex N1 single. I love the sound. It has a nice low rumble at lower rpms and a great scream on the high end. I've actually had a few people comment that it sounds like a motorcycle (think Yamaha or Honda sport bikes) but ive never actually heard my car from the outside, so I can't verify that.
My only complaint is that it gets kinda old on long drives and it attracts too much attention. I love the sound myself, but I would like to be able to blend in better. Honestly, if I was buying an exhaust system right now, I would get the RB true duals.
Basically, if you like having a loud car get a single, but if you want it to be quite you should get duals.

if your going straight through exhaust i would suggest the SDJ, Borla XR-1, and some kind of decent looking can, it will sound nice a deep and wont sound like rice farts

I personally dont think my setup sounds ricey at all. I think it is mostly the N1 knockoffs that sound bad, as they dont have the resonator the legit N1's come with. This makes a huge difference in sound. Either way, just listen to diff setups to see what you like.

I have a RB true dual header into dual straight pipes running out of a exhaust shop stock muffler. I don't really like the sound, but I love the power at high rpm's. It looks innocent, but gets down and dirty when it has too. I switched it off after I first got it because it was rubbing on the car but I fixed that and now all is good. Here is a vid of what I have.

I have an RB header/presilencer (no cats) on my car, and had the Corksport on it for a few minutes just to try it out, and I loved the way it sounded. It was loud as hell, but a nice sound overall. Right now I have the RB header/presilencer/Y-pipe to stock mufflers, and I really want to go with the CS Cat-back.
