Your max afl% according to the s-afc?
The other night while out on a drive, i noticed that my car hit a new afl% high according to the s-afc. It turned 54.8%. On the dyno, all it saw was 53.6% or something close to that.
Just curious (without over inflating please) what afl% do you guys see? Bolth turbo and non turbo guys.![Smilie](https://www.rx7club.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Haven't we ALL heard this

When I was playing with my intake I learned how my airflow meter worked. That sliding cone that takes the measurments. Well, I put my S-AFC in the window so I could read it and pushed that sliding cone till it hit the stops. I believe it was somewhere near 75%. 100% was not possible. Always wondered why.
This was on my 91 TII

I don't think I've seen over 60%
I just went out and checked, but I couldn't redline around here in anything but 1st gear (tight city streets...) and I kept hitting about 57 or so at maybe 8200 rpm in 1st.
I'm assuming at my actual redline of about 8900 in 3rd gear I would see over 60%

Can you explain to some of us (safc-less) what that figure represent. Is it saying that the afm has only reached X% of travel when the plunger or flapper has "bottomed" out ( when it should have read 100%)??
