Ha ha. Us N/A peeps are always noting how LOUD our exhaust setup is -- and the turbo II crowd are always saying, "I've got straight 3" pipe with no mufflers, and it's not loud!"

Well of course it isn't! That precious exhaust is spooling up your turbo, where as in an N/A it's just excess noise! Damn I love my N/A!!!!!

My good friends at DEQ tell me my exhaust is too loud. by 1.8 decibels to be exact (legal limit is 93db). they asked me how many tickets i had, and i said none, and they were surprised because they said it was one of the loudest cars theyve had there for a while.

My car sounded barely noticeable b4 I took the cats off. Now with the cats outa there, I get looks every time I go over 3000rpm. :p (also I could get up to 186 km/h b4 cats taken off, last night I got up to 191 and still climbing.)

Just right

I've got Pacsetter header, with no cat, with a catbac BORLA setup. Has anyone else heard BORLA's exhaust. I'm askin cause i havn't seen anyone talkin about it. Anyhow the best/loudert exhaust is just have nothing but a header. I had to drive mine to the shop to get the pipe welded in for noncat. That **** was so loud and violent, I thought it was going to come through the floor boards.

Re: Just right

I drove mine with just a 3" cat, no exhaust... that was pretty loud. Even with my 3" muffler on there, it still sets off people's alarms sometimes... too loud? Nah....

haha this is really funny. I have a 90 NA. This car has gutted cats with some midas type muffler. My car is so damn quiet. My intake noise is louder than the exhaust
