So my car had a hack job install of the xentec hid kit missing some parts it seems. So I'm going to buy a new kit.

Which kit should I be buying ?

Ditch the mickey mouse headlights and just put a set of halogens in it. HID that isn't factory basically stands for "Hello, I'm a ********" because you will most likely be pissing off people that see your headlights.

Two choices: Properly engineered and aimed H.I.D. retrofit(with projector lenses to focus the light, not the crappy ebay plastic housings either...), or factory headlights.

That doesn't answer my question.

I don't have the parts to go back to factory lenses, mine have those eBay ones or whatever they may be.

If the housings simply come out and the stock headlights will directly go in I guess I can do.that.

I just want the lights to work, I thought the hid kit cheap/annoying as it may be - would provide better lighting than the stock would.

Though if the hids will be annoyingly blue etc, I'd rather use something that won't get me pulled over.

It's very simple to go back to halogen. The sealed beams replace the whole housing.

I use silverstar H6054 bulbs which are slightly brighter than stock(at the cost of longevity) and can see just fine at night.

Thanks.

I'll just get those. Gladly the idiot who installed the xentec box didn't cut any wiring.

There was only one box on the passenger side, the other side had the stock connector hooked into some kind of hid bulb.

Idk how it even worked if it ever did, ghetto to the Max.

I have a brand new set of Silverstar 6054's (installed for about a week) that I'll swap for the Xentec lights.

My brother had them on his civic and they flickered alot, but I think he didn't wire them the best way.

I just want something simple that works to start off, the car isn't running yet, hoping for it to be in June.
