Exclamation Wtf is wrong with my 7!?

Okay guys, I've been trying to figure this out for months now with no luck, after searching and searching and troubleshooting I don't know what is wrong Here's the problem: Upon start up, idle is a bit low like 500-600 range, but after a minute goes to 750-800. Okay, so when I give it gas, it's like the RPM's arn't rising as fast as they should be and there's a little hesitation before from the engine before they do. Sometimes when I floor it it just dies. The vacuum starts a bit lower then normal but then goes to normal after its warmed up. I've checked for everything, vacuum leaks, line leaks, cracks, boost leaks, every kind of leak, checked/adjusted idle/tps, checked compression, changed plugs, checked for spark, changed alternator, checked fuel pump injectors, I don't know what to check anymore It's so bad I cant even drive it because it dies if I give it gas after switching gears. ANY Ideas would be really helpful. BTW it's a 1987 Turbo II

Nope, its all good. Another piece of info it started doing this after I was doing some work on the coolent hoses, and it overheated one time. Luckily the temp sensor was working lol I got it off in time

Also did you adj the little screw by the boost sensor that says L-->R. you could be running lean as well.

i read somewhere that air in the coolent system will cause rough idle. I just ported my wastegate and am having idle issues as well. i think i may have air in my cooling system or my DP possible may be clogged but im not sure

A/F says I'm running normal always 10.50-13.00 range. I thought maybe I had air in the coolent system but I've burped the system until no more bubbles, I have no idea whats going on anymore.....

You may want to do another compression check.

Just thought I'd Conclude this thread instead of leaving it open ended. I Reconducted my compression test. Normal readings. Checked and rechecked all my lines/hoses/etc and found a crack in my TID as FLO suggested. I Just didnt inspect close enough b4.....so thanks for all help

Dusty, get one of these. I have one. Totally worth $25 or whatever it comes out to be. Get one with a gauge, and if you have a compressor then the compressor male fitting, too, makes life so much easier. I got mine, knowing I had some vacuum leaks, but I ended up finding 6 or 7! I think about the only way to get better results is to pump some sort of smoke into the intake so you can SEE where the leaks are.

Btw you're not running a stock turbo at 16psi are you? If your turbo and intake are unmodified that's a bad idea.

It's the Variable Resistor, and it is for the idle mixture only.

Nooooo lol I know lmao. I got a t3/t4 hybrid turbo that claims to be stable up to ~25 psi. But I'm happy with 16 . Anyways thanks ALOT for the link I will be ordering one today!!! Very useful tool to have.
