Lightbulb wtb rotary ;)

YTeah.. so basically I'm one of your piston guys, but I'd really like to start gettin' my heads dirty in the rotary world
Right now my car is in the shop and I dunno when it will come out. So I'm looking to buy a cheap fc. I know that I'd probably like to get tII, since I'll fall in love for the car and will keep myself later for not doing so, but for the money that i have (read almost $1k) I don't think I can find a tII that would actually get me around for now.. and then could be worked on later.
So..what should I buy? What should I look for when I find an fc for the price that I want? After that how can I start learning on the rotary engine, the ins and outs? It seems that not too many people know really how to work on them around me, so can I just start tearin' into while reading here?

So basically I'm looking for suggestions, advice, what I should look out for, flames..whatever you feel like doing... but bottom line is I don't have much money to spare right now and i need a good car to get me around for a few months. After that I will probably have some $$ to put in it if it's worth it (love strikes me with cars..), or simply will sell it back. Anyone has 2 cents to give?

Read the FAQ, it'll provide you with many answers to basic and detailed questions about the rx7. There's also a link of a website that has what to look for when buying an FC. Search the archives and you'll find anything you could imagine.

I didn't think I was doulbe posting.. I was just wondering if it was possible to find a TII for about a G.. without having to spend tnes of $$$ upfront to make it run like it should. Basically does cheap TII mean it's *****?

I double posted

Cheap does not always mean fuxed either. Some people are forced to sell their TIIs immediately so they offer them cheap. Check the FS/Wanted section, I've seen a few nice TIIs for around $1000 before, there are probably still some now. Basically just look for the condition of the engine, because that's the money pit of the car, cosmetics can be fixed relatively inexpensive compared to motor replacement.
