Question wrong master cylinder?

i was putting in my new clutch master cylinder, and my old master cylinder's output to the line is straight up and down, and the output on the new one is tilted, they both seem to be about the same size, but the line for the old on will not reach the new one easily, although i could probably get it to work ? should i just take the new one back? or make the line reach.i made sure when i ordered i told the guy 86 1.3fi base model.

Get the Factory Service manual from fc3s.org for freeand compare the pictures with what you have. Or maybe check the part number.

I'm pretty sur that the Master cylinder for the clutch is the same between turbo's and NA's. Not sure about between Series 4 and 5 though.
