1.3L is not that small

personally i would not go any lower than 2.5 because the AFM inlet is 2.5 and outlet is 3 inches... i would not use any piping smaller than the inlet on the AFM, it is a big difference when you go from small to larger piping than from larger to smaller piping... just my opinions feel free to correct me

Good write up
That's exactly what I'll be doing to make my CAI this weekend when I finally have time to put it together, only difference is that I'll be using slightly different piping.

Cool...Time to archive a copy I guess. A copy will remain in the "regular" forum to which you can reply, but no replies after this one will end up in the archives.

I thought I might be able to find the stuff at autozone or soem misc parts at home depot to make it work. Not as flashy, but work. But no dice. If i can get something off ebay that would look nice and function that would be very cool..

Another writeup, pics, tells you everything you need, and tells you what honda kit (prelude 92-96) you need to get.

Would you need to get that prelude kit? or would 2 3" pipes (slight s and l curve) from home depot or someplace similar work just as well? I'm planning on doing this tomorrow, but I was just going to get some piping, some couplers and the filter, but if I need that exact piping I'm SOL.
Anyone know if jsut a standard 3" k&n cone filter comes with the clamp?

Sure that can work, just gotta make sure you get the right length and bends. Estimate with a tape measure from the intake elbow, should give you a good enough idea.
