would you like to see a T2 motor swap into a Convertible?
or
T2 swap into GTU/GTUs
just wondering, cuz i want a turbo...but i like the convertible... but the GTU/GTUs are some nice handling cars... i feel so torn!

Think about it...how many T2 swaps into coupes do we see?? A LOT...everybody does it, lol....I would love to have a T2 vert...that'd be a big time sleeper...Nobody suspects a NA looking vert to run a 1/4mile in under 14

Hell just put a 20 B in a vert. Once I get out of college and hopefully have some money that is my plan. I have seen one preson do it and he sad his car is crazy fast. I would love to be just crusing along in my vert with the top down minding my own buisness and somebody comes up and thinks their car is fast and blow their doors off. It would be great. I think a full roll cage would be an important part to making the car stiffer. That car would be a beast.

The GTU/GTUs really don't have anything *that* special about it that would make it a better candidate for a T2 swap.
A T2 vert is always nice, though . They really should have built them in the US!

i wouldnt drive a vert if it had a 3 rotor twin turbo in it!!!
they are the SHAMU of rx7 ,they weigh a ton and they sux ! ive always hated the looks of them!
i would pimp my 89 turbo ll with the 89 turbo ll driveline and whoop any pos vert!

IMO the TII coupe conversion is retarded because you can buy a TII for only $500-1000 more than a comparable NA. It would cost you that much or more to convert the coupe, not to mention all the needless work involved. The TII convertible conversion is much more understandable for those of us who live in the USA and do not have access to factory turbocharged convertibles.
Hehehe, Pettit's 20B FD conversion actually weighs less than stock. There are many reasons why a 20B conversion sux, but the weight issue isn't one of them.

How much do you think it would cost to do the T2 swap into a vert with a low mileage or rebuilt motor? I was gonna do it, but decided against it because it would be a daily driver and I didn't want to chance any problems...and I kind of regret it now, unless it would be crazy expensive that is...

The vert would be more rare, the coupe would be faster and in my opinion look better. But I would say just buy a TII unless you already have an na w/ lots of nice upgrades.

T2 vert would be much pimp. drop the top and watch the cars disapear in the rearview turbo swap into a coupe-doesnt make sense. turbo swap into vert makes since because we never got the turbo verts. VMB...you suck.
