Would you run 1680cc 2ndaries with this setup?
- S5 13bt
- Streetport
- T04B V-trim hybrid
- Lt8
- 550cc primaries
I can get a pair of 1680cc Bosch injectors for cheaper than a pair of 750cc injectors... Getting the 1680's leave me more room to grow when or if I decide to go with a larger turbo. However, I'm unsure of if I'll be able to lower the duty cycle to a point where I won't be running pig rich all the time...
I also currently have GSL-SE injectors as secondaries... Would using them as primaries help to make the transition of running the 1680 secondaries less dramatic?
Anyone have any imput?

With a programmable ECU you will not have a problem. Tuning involves setting the injector opening time (not duty cycle) required at each load/rpm point. You can set that to zero if you really want (but don't...), so you'll only run too rich if that's what you set.
Dunno about MicroTechs, but I know Haltechs can be tuned for a seamless transition with big secondaries.

I have a Haltech and my best friend has the LT8. The Microtech is soo much smoother in transitions. It's just a little more advanced. I would say that those secondaries are a little overkill for what you're having. But it will establish a good foundation for further growth. Since you have the ability to control transitions, and flow.....then i would stick with it. It's the same set up most people here have, but just on bigger turbo's. Wich btw, you're using a stock turbine housing, since you said Hybrid right?

I've had the 550-1680 setup and it works great, even tried 4 x 1680 which works even better, but my favorite is 4 x 1000cc. It just seems to work the best with my Wolf EMS 4.0., ported motor, 1.00 A/R & 20psi-boost etc. Wish I knew why
.
Also, don't know alot about MT's.. Haltec's seem okay though.

Where are you guys buying the 1680cc injectors??? I'd Really like to know. Also, I heard about people using Ford Natural Gas injectors for secondaries, anybody heard of this?
