that would make you fail the e-test!

As some of you have read..I went for an e-test ..and failed..yup..hard to believe..thanks for caring!..seiously,I was determined to know why..well I FOUND THE PROBLEM..just because that big monstrosity of a can..better known as a cat..is there..doesn't mean that it is actually a cat..in other words ..i took off my catalytic after tappin it..it sounded wierd!..turns out..THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER HAD BEEN HOLLOWED OUT>>THE PRECATS TOO!..Let this be a lesson for all SEEING IS NOT BELIEVING!..in other words..make sure the catalytic is functional!..if you tap it and it sounds like a pop can..replace it!..one thing my dad said..never give up..I didn't dad..I found the *** ..and kicked it..thanks for all who posted my thread and here is useful info that should be usefull for the many fellow rotorheads that have to pass emissions!..misterstyx69..catalytic and air pump ..a happy combination!

one of the local rx7 guys here had a friend hook me up with an inspection. He just hooked the sniffer up to Ford Ranger. Next year they are abolishing sniffer tests so I never have to worry about that **** again...
