would f-con and walbro be sufficient?
My car is a 87' TII and my mods are in my sig.
I wanted to know that if I get a HKS PFC f-con I would have enough fuel. Right now the only fuel mod I have is a Walbro 255 pump.
Would these 2 together be adequate. Right now I just have a full 3" straight exhaust and a bigger TID. I have seen boost spike to ~11 psi but I plan on running 7-8 psi.
Will I be ok on stock injectors or should I be looking at getting some 720 secondaries?

an FCON and walbro should be enough to handle a straight exhaust and a TID...thats about 240 to the wheels with killer spool up and a nice broad band the FCON basically takes the stock fuel maps and bumps them up a bit along with the duty cycle, it really pushes the stock injectors. if u get 720ccs you'll need something to lean the car out with, either a GCC or an AFC.

I know, that is my big dilemma. If I can find a dyno locally, I am going to get the 720's and a S-AFC2. But if not I guess I am going to have to stay with the FCON.
Also, how can I keep my boost down. I've heard porting the WG helps. Does it help a lot? Also, how hard is it to do?
And what about a boost controller. Does that only let you raise the boost, or will it allow you to limit it also?

F-CON would not really help in your case unless you get a GCC.
The Walbro should keep you safe for now - the car already runs on the rich side. The S-AFC would be used to cut down the fuel to bring back some of the power.
Port the wastegate to get better boost control back.

A F-Con should work just fine with upgrades. Geoff at MazdaTrix says they can handle major upgrades. If you take the cover off your F-con you will see a little dial in there. The settings are 0-9. 0 is the stock fuel map. So if you upgrade injectors and run to rich just turn that dial down. I believe the setting is at 5 when you buy it. He said the GCC is just more for fine tuning. You can usually find a GCC for around $50 on ebay. Anyway if you have any questions on the F-con and its abilities I would ask Mazda Trix as they seem to be the most reliable and reputable people I have dealt with in the rotary world.
