wont start, but ran fine yesterday.

im in need of some immediate help, this is my main car, i do have a beater, but i need to know whats going on.

cars been running fine since i purchased it about a month ago. yesterday i was running low on gas, so i got some gas, drove home and parked the car.
i didnt drive it at all yesterday after parking it, i go to start it this morning, and all i get is errr, errr, errr, errr, errr, etc. no start up.

i checked the battery, everything looks proper, every hose under my engine has been replaced, my volts read normal, my fuel filter was replaced not long ago, and im pretty sure its not my alternator.

the car is not dead power wise, it will try and start over and over and over, so im not sure if its just a bad battery terminal or something else that im missing.

i do have a volt meter for testing, any suggestions?

anyone know what could cause this problem?

the only thing different that i can think of that i did, was wait until the car had very little gas before i put in some gas. got gas, parked the car, and when i tried firing it up this morning, i got nothing but errr errr etc.

so, i just tried the unflooding method on the 91', held clutch, floored the gas and cranked it, started right up, along with a shitload of white smoke, the excess fuel being burnt.

crapload of white smoke, which after a minute or so is no longer. thanks again, i appreciate it!

You're welcome. Using the accelerator method only works in the S5. White smoke is indicative of coolant being burned. What I thought was fuel flooding on my car was actually coolant seeping into the combustion chambers over night. Rough start, white sweet-smelling smoke in the morning. Required a rebuild. Of course, yours could just be fuel. Checked your coolant lately?

yeah, i checked that after i saw the white smoke. its not coolant, smelled like pure fuggin fuel in the bay when i was checking for possibly battery problems. prior to clearing the flood.

after it started up, smelled like fuel big time.

coolant level is where it should be.
